When it comes to site flipping we all know that the forumala:
High Quality Site + Traffic + Revenue = $X,XXX+ Flip
When preparing to flip a website I always say, How much do I want to make on this flip? How long do I want to hold onto it for?
Let answer these:
$1,000 and 8 weeks
These two questions set you in the right direction, because now you can calculate that you only need to earn $200 per month to reach approxmiately $1,000. You are keeping in mind that you are going to receive 4 to 5 times your monthly earnings.
Think about your local business portals, In simple terms, create one, start marketing it on long tailed keywords, even some offline flyers.
Contact all the business's in the area, with a proposal for advertsing space. Ask for a low price, don't get greedy, I ask for $20 per month.
In my area that I did this in, I contacted 180 business's via a mail letter, and received a 4% conversion for 8 advertisers signed up at $20 per month.
I didn't hit $200, but I hit $160.00
Eventually other advertisers jump on board and I was earning $350/M through ads.
I then contacted a few businessmen in the area that were into investments, real estate, and marketing, sent a proposal to sell the site.
We settled on $2,000
Could of got more if I did more marketing, but I was content with the check.
