More screenflow experimenting.

Posted 19th April 2012 at 05:10 AM by Marty S

Kinetic typography is a cool kind of visual text effect, lending more meaning to how the words on a video are introduced. In this screenflow tutorial I show that it can also be done (at least to an extent) in screenflow as well.

Let me know what you think.

A parody attempt at going viral.

Posted 11th April 2012 at 08:05 PM by Marty S

Keep trying, I may hit one. This is a short video based on a Mad Men parody of their season 5 teaser called "Don is Back".

Speeding up the Video.

Posted 31st March 2012 at 08:10 AM by Marty S

I am really trying to make my videos shorter, and one of the ways I thought of was to just speed up the entire track so after I did most of my camera editing in Final Cut Pro, I then exported and opened up a new project in Screenflow.

Then I took the track and adjusted the speed, by about 5%, shaving about 40 seconds of the length of the stuffed chicken breast video.

Some places it's more noticeable than others, but this is def an option I will be using in the future....

Fooling around with FCPx

Posted 23rd March 2012 at 12:52 AM by Marty S

With the release of Final Cut Pro X's Multi_Cam feature, using more than one video camera makes editing at least 5 times faster.

Notice in the video below how many times a cut to another camera happens smoothly. That's what I am talking about!

Posted 2nd March 2012 at 10:59 AM by Marty S

Screenflow has recently released v3.05, and after using it for a week or so, I can say now that many of the issues that plagued the 3.0 - 3.03 versions have been fixed.

These include saving files a lot quicker (which I think had more to do with Lion OSX anyway), the wave forms on audio tracks now come in consistently and reliably, and the overall crashing issues have been negated entirely from my own experience.

If you have never used screenflow before, here is a 10...
