Are you one of the thousands of Internet Markets searching the web high and low for answers about Google's latest updates? Are you concerned because you literally watched your site rank drop overnight? You are not alone. This is simply Google's way of telling internet marketers "Welcome to 2013: Content is Still Key".

Use Pictures and Multimedia

Don't get me wrong, there are some sites that don't require fresh and compelling content, especially sites that have videos or images that have a better way of telling your intended message. The key is understanding how to use your content in collaboration with your images or movies.

Social Media

Social Media will also play a major role into how your site is indexed in 2013. Gone are the days when simply shooting out a message to your facebook fans or having 100's of "Likes" would help land you a better PR, this is just part of the equation! Use social media to your
advantage. Experiment with different tools and see what works and what doesn't. Try to get as much input as you can from not only your staff but the people following you, your "social fans".

In the end, content is still key in 2013! Don't get fooled by flashy adds telling you that your site will get indexed within a matter of moments. When it comes to content and backlinks, sites are being hounded when it comes to selling and exchanging, so be careful executing your backlink efforts, as well. Using a collaboration of some of these techniques will help keep your site on the Google "good list" and keep you on your toes when it comes to research and writing.
