Anyone involved in an affiliate marketing business can testify to having "seasons" of discouragement along their way to success. Here's the thing, if you're in business you "will" experience times (seasons) of discouragement. The question is, how will you deal with them? Maybe you're feeling discouraged right now because you've just had one of your good affiliates leave, or you've run an advertising campaign that cost you a bit of money and the campaign flopped, or you just can't seem to sponsor anyone into your business. How are you dealing with it? Maybe you feel like quitting, don't! Please don't become another statistic. There is a better way, don't just throw your hands in the air and scream "this stuff doesn't work!"

Here are 4 practical tips to get you up on your feet again.

1) Do something physical
Turn off your computer and get out in the fresh air. There's something wonderful about getting fresh air into your lungs, it clears your head and energizes your body. I enjoy kickboxing and train regularly and I can testify to the benefits of getting physical especially when I'm feeling discouraged. Usually after completing a vigorous workout I find that my head is clearer allowing me to take a more objective approach to whatever problem is causing me to feel discouraged in the first place.

2) Tap into your personal faith
Now I'm not about to preach my faith to you, however, if you have a particular faith (you're spiritual) use it to get quiet and recharge. Many people who meditate, for example, find themselves more at peace within and are able to move on past any feelings of discouragement. As for me, I like to pray. I can't even begin to tell you how much I've benefited from this practice, but I can tell you that prayer has worked wonders for me every time.

3) Read something inspirational
Inspirational stories written by people who have struggled through to success are a great antidote for discouragement. I would even go as far as to say that this particular point is an "absolute must" if you're going to survive in the online business world. There's not a single successful entrepreneur today that hasn't read their share of inspirational stories. Not only will you get re-inspired you'll also learn valuable tips on how to build your business, and how to avoid many of the pitfalls that often lead to discouragement.

4) Recognize that it's just a season you're going through
This last point is often overlooked because when you're feeling discouraged everything seems so bleak. But the truth is it's just a season and seasons come and go frequently. Recognizing this fact alone will put you on the path to recovery. The point here is this, when one season ends another soon follows. You never know, your next season may be where you get your breakthrough!
For your own sake and your businesses don't give up, there will always be a better tomorrow. Who knows, yours may be just on the horizon so long as you don't give up. So hang in there and put these points into practice, you'll thank yourself that you did.
