I have found that reviewing and summarizing the posts of quality marketing and seo blogs is an excellent way to learn the subject matter.

Alex Becker generally has some solid info however, you often have to wade through some hype to get to the meat.

(I must admit some of the hype...

I was looking at Google Trends to get some ideas for blog posts and I saw the this video about Moschino Barbie Dolls was going through the roof in popularity.

Apparently Mattel is selling Barbie's dolls to little boys using a coached effeminate little boy with a stereotypical gay hair style using stereotypical gay jargon.

I did a blog post about using trends and controversy to get more traffic to your website.

I left my browser open after listening to a YouTube video and began doing something else. I heard the voice of a pleasant lady in the background giving me some great ideas on how to generate leads on the cheap.

She really knew her stuff. I already implemented one idea of offering a contest incentive for people to join my newsletter and read my emails.

YouTube now allows us to add links to our website directly into your YouTube videos through annotations.

This is an excellent way to get traffic to your site and provide value for your users.

There are several hoops to jump through such as of course verifying your site, then becoming a partner by enabling monetization.
