21 Interesting Run Commands

We all strive to get better productivity out of our daily schedules by performing in a faster and a smarter way. But some of us has never tried some cool run commands in Windows that can make your life a lot more easier and hassle free. Try some cool short cuts mentioned here. There are a lot of them but these only pertain to the run commands and you can use them almost daily(you bet).

Assuming you have already pressed window and r button. You just need to enter these commands and press enter and see the magic.


Chrome: Launches chrome browser if its installed.

Wordpad: Launches wordpad(some of you may need to see what word pad is).

Notepad: Launches notepad (really fast than going to desktop create new text file)

Control: Takes you to the control panel right away

C: : Takes you to the drive you can type any drive name there be it c, d or e or
anything

Cmd or command: Both the commands takes you to command prompt

Calc: Brings on calculator for your calculations

Control desktop: Brings you to display properties

Firefox: Launches firefox for you (if installed)

Excel: Microsoft excel quick and fast for you. (if installed)

Winword: Microsoft word again really quick. (if installed)

Ncpa.cpl: Most of us need this one really. Brings on the network connections

Osk: You should try this I don’t want to tell what this one will do but you will love it.

Regedit: Brings you the registry editor for those who know what it means

Shutdown: Shuts down the computer

Msconfig: Only those who know what it means try it


Explorer: Launches the windows explorer.

Ipconfig: You can run almost all ipconfig commands directly from run command

Fonts: Takes you to the fonts folder

Desk.cpl: Again brings you to the desktop display properties

Photoshop: Launches photoshop (if installed)
