I am a newbie. I don't intend on being one forever but for right now everything other than writing seems so complicated.

I spent 5 hours or more trying to get my first wordpress installed to my first website. I still haven't gotten it right and I still have that page the hosting service puts up. Ugh....I just can't get it figured out.

Now that may make most of you more seasoned people laugh and scratch your head saying "what's so difficult about that?" but...

...but for how long?

After taking a hiatus from affiliate marketing for several years I'm starting up again to possibly get back on track. It's gonna be fun and interesting and I reckon there's a lot of new stuff to come to grips with such as the social media craze, using blogs, video, audio, podcasts and so on, things that wasn't really too common when I all but left affiliate marketing around 2001.

I was wondering about making video for my own customers but I thought about a question... Can people just make money with videos WITHOUT it being attached to any kind of marketing?

Did a bit of research and pulled information from several places. Took screenshots and cropped them in Photoshop.

This entry took the most time in terms of finding the correct links and the good pictures as some of the research links I got were broken.

So anyway, created the blog...

Seriously, affiliate marketing does not have to be as hard as you're making it.

There is LOTS of competition out there and very few affiliate marketing methods that help you to progress on your own learning curve without draining your pockets before you figure out how to make any money. However, there are a growing number of people using Squidoo who know how to build affiliate marketing empires with

• No web hosting costs
• No list building required
