Ranking videos to page one can be done fairly easily. Keeping videos on page one is more difficult.

When creating a video using Google + Hangouts, you get "extra" ranking juice. Usually, within 30 minutes, my videos will show up on page one of Google. Most often, within just a couple of minutes, they are on page one.

Your keywords, competing videos, onpage and off page optimization that you may or may not have done all combine to effect ranking.

There is a little known trick to do what many webmasters thought was dead: boosting PageRank via internal links.

Internal pages of a website which link to other pages of the same website pass link juice.

Assume for the examples in this post Page A has "10 units" of PageRank or link juice.

Example: Page A links to Pages B and C, passing whatever PageRank it has to those two...
