The use of Traffic Exchanges

The use of Traffic Exchanges
For some reason SFI people seem to find Traffic Swarm and Million Dollar Traffic before other TEs.
(This inevitably leads to them thinking they have found some wonderful new way of generating free traffic - once we had a newbie (been here 2 days) letting everyone know about MDT.)
Traffic Swarm LOOKS like it might be different because the Start Page LOOKS like it's a class ads page.
But in reality nobody reads the ads, they just click for the credits.
It LOOKS like it's targetted traffic - like people only click the ads they are interested in - but as ads have random credits from 1 to 5 - you have to click ALL the ads - you can't afford to miss a 5 credits click just because you don't really want to see the site for dog food.
"Targetted" traffic means it is aimed at people who are looking for a biz opp to join - which is why class ad sites, PPCs, Search Engines work best.
TEs are untargetted - the people surfing aren't looking to join a bizz opp - they are clicking for credits to promote their own.
If you use class ads then use class ads, if you use TEs, then use TEs, don't confuse things like Traffic Swarm as being some hybrid that gives better targetting.
Having said that, Traffic Swarm IS a good TE and a good way of generating traffic, so I use it myself and recommend it.
The method I use - which works - is join a downline builder and advertise THAT. People signup and then their clicks build up your downline to the point where you get more hits a day from your dowline clicks than you could on your own.
THEN advertise a VLB - Viral ListBuilder to build your list.
THEN send your list the SFI info as a backend.
Advertisng the SFI gateways direct on TEs will get you lots of hits but few, if any, signups.
Some of the more established TEs are upgrading - they now have an email your downline facility, which you can use to advertise, and you get clickable emails from your upline - sometimes 30 cicks in an email.
They also do a credit bonus - surf 25 sites and get 5 bonus hits, that sort of thing.
Most of my credits these days are from my downline - I do very little surfing.
Like anything else it's a case of putting in the hours and paying your dues.
I would say NEVER buy hits if you're promoting an affiliate program - like SFI - if you want to go that route PPCs are a better investment.
So for the best results -not just empty traffic but signups:
DO:
1. Class ad sites and PPCS sending people to the FREE gateway
2. Create your own website and submit that to the Search Engines
3. Join a downline builder and use that on the TEs - build big downlines until you get real "Viral" traffic
4. Join a VLB and promote THAT on the TEs
5. When you get a big enough list, send them the SFI info and gateway
DON'T:
1. Don't advertise your website or SFI gateways on the TEs
2. Don't submit your SFI gateways to the Search Engines
3. Don't advertise TE programs, VLBs on the Search engines or class ads
4. Don't pay for hits on TEs
Of course this is just advice based on what my group has found to work over time, it's what we do now.
I'm not saying it's absolute or that you or other people can't or won't get better results by changing this strategy around a bit.
(you always get someone going "but I put my LGW on a TE and got an MIQ, same as you always get someone going "don't use it, it's a waste of time" - there are no absolutes)
What I can tell you is that if you are having difficulties and you DO follow our strategy then you WILL see results.
