Social Media Optimization a MUST!

When I first started in SEO, alot was still primitive, and the software's that exist now to make our jobs easier these days were simply an optimists fantasy. Granted there were a few out there, but nothing like submission software's, site building softwares, and the other web 2.0 technoligies that make this a walk in the park now.
Now we've had social networks thrown in the mix. What was once a corner on the net has blown into one of the main reasons people turn on their computers. Even the virtual social worlds online grant you the ability to mingle and network with like mind beings. This can drive instant traffic to your web site as you mingle and get to know others.
Social networks like Twitter and Facebook now give you the ability to instantly communicate with other social network members that you are friends with. Other social networks such as LinkedIn seem to cater to professionals looking to network and conduct other forms of business.
As an Internet Marketer, these massive networks make it much easier to target a large number of people all in one spot. MySpace, FaceBook, and Twitter are great places to set up accounts and profiles that target your product(s) or service(s). But don't run off and just throw up a profile blasting people with nothing but what you have to sale, have some substance about your profile(s). With Twitter for example, do not bombard your followers a link to your product(s) or service(s) with every single tweet, make most of your tweets comments or information on your business or replying to what someone else has tweeted. For every 10 to 12 tweets, throw a link to your web site in the mix promoting a certain product or service you offer. Since you can place a link to your desired web site or blog on your twitter page, people can see, you don't need to abuse them with tweet after tweet with your link.
Make no mistake, if you have something of interest to citizens of online communites, they will make sure they keep track of what you have to say or offer. Your best bet is to join a social network and begin your networking experience. You will be surprised at how many like minded people are floating around these communities.
