Well,
We are pass the mid way point. I started at the end of August and now we are at the end of november...It is a 6 month program. Here are some facts.
* I had a mailing list of around 3100 that I sent the offer to. I still haven't done any more advertising then sending email to my main list that is about at 3400 now and the special list that is about 300.
* Currently there are 53 subscribers paying 27 bucks a month
* I have kept around 50-55 subscribers for the duration.
* I have had 20 people to unsubscribe or get kicked out due to nonpayment.
*I use nanacast connected to my merchant account as well as paypal as a backup merchant.
* Nanacast is a godsend. I have totally forgotten about the idea of doing a wordpress blog membership site. Even though Nanacast has a plugin. Just delivering the content both in nanacast and in aweber is the way to go.
What I have learned:
1) 27 dollars is not enough money for what I offer, but I was scared of asking too much. I should have just went for it.
2) I did way to much. The first 5 lessons consisted of over 100 pages of content a few hours of audio and about an hour of video. Now a lesson consists of maybe a 30 minute to an hour video that is either me in front of a whiteboard or a camtasia screencast. In the future, I will simply take the audio off the video to a mp3 and have the video transcribed to a pdf.
3) That week comes very fast. You better have a plan for what you are going to do, or you will be in trouble. I have had the plan from the beginning and will have to rush to get everything done...
4) Pay for the graphics...It doesn't cost much...120 bucks and I had a professional looking sales page and video squeeze page.
