Let me start off by saying Happy New Years! Looking back at where I was and where I am right now it terms of internet marketing, I never thought it would've been doing this well until I reached the 1 year mark. But luckily things went for the better and for two consecutive months I've made at least $100/month. So the plan for 2012 is to first establish 3 more money sites before May 2012 (1 year mark). I have the niches already picked, domains bought, article plan ready. All I need to do is actually make/purchase the articles and decide on if I should switch my hosting provider. Right now I use iPage but I've been hearing lot of good things about HostGator.
Anyways, in terms of money I'm making in internet marketing, I saw a really nice start and end of the month with Adsense averaging around $5/day. But as it neared Christmas I saw some bad days, at about $1-2/day revenue, meaning profits were slightly below a deficit. It was also surprising to see that after December 27 to the end of December I averaged more than $5/day even though the new year was approaching. I'm thinking that it has something to do with people trying to get more info into their new years resolution.
So right now I'm on my winter break with about one week left until I have to go back to school, but I want to try and get a lot of internet marketing stuff done now to get the bulk out of the way. I also want to try to implement IM into everyday life, rather than just run Article Marking Robot. I need to do some more constant blog comments and tier 2 backlinks especially with a soon to be 10 money sites.
Speaking of my money sites, it appears that my high traffic/low clicks site is my second highest earning sites at ~$32, with a CTR <1%, and >6000 page impressions. My best site is still the first site that I created and it made ~$42 this month, and my third best site made me ~$30 this month. It looks like because I spent a lot of time and effort to rank my first site's pages nicely it's paying off even though right now I'm doing minimal if any backlinking to it.
So right now, I'm going to try and get the sites that I created in September ranking. Right now their main keywords are ranking nicely, one's in the fourth position and the other in the sixth position. The other secondary keywords are either on the third page or farther. Need to get everything on the first page.
