A well-conceived idea can be implemented if a group of people working together uniformly take action to make it successful. We live in a world so complicated that without the help and support of our team mates, an amazing project could turn out to be a failure. So, by bringing a group of people together, each with a different set of skills but with one common objective, the power of mastermind magic becomes a reality.
The power of mastermind and a common purpose
When I or you embark on the same journey we need to be united to succeed. I remembered very well that as a soccer player I shared the same objective as the other players which were to win the college championship. Together, each of us had a role to play and work and communicate with a common language so that as a team we functioned as one force to overcome the opponent team. So, before this can happen, we used to study the other team and brainstormed a strategy through the power of mastermind and came up with an effective action plan to achieve that purpose.
The power of a mastermind at work
So, after you've used the power of mastermind and established your goal, they you need to recruit a team that can work together sharing the same passion to come up with an effective action plan that you can deploy. It is very important that all team members work in unison to make it work. You cannot, as a team, develop a plan of action and sit on it or not be able to convince everyone to buy into it. When your team members buy in, you need their continued unwavering commitment and support throughout; during good times and during challenging times as well. I have worked on projects before that failed, not because the project was a bad one, but because people develop different agenda and change routes. Vigilance and accountability are very important as well as having fun doing the work or if you prefer, we can say, playing the game.

At Empower Network, our aim is to serve and help people to achieve their goals in life. In order to accomplish this there are 8 core commitments that all members of the Empower Network have to abide by and one of them is to blog daily. The power of mastermind influences our ability and commitment to follow through with these "promises". It also conduce us to embrace the same vision and as a company we will succeed. Then if some of us breach the commitment of bogging daily, then we lose our power and the whole concept can collapse.
Speaking the same language and having the same power of mastermind
It is important that when you join a group you adopt the culture and identify 100% with it. Every organisation has a code of conduct that all members have to respect. So, if we have built a power of mastermind but some members decide to use a different language to the detriment of the group, even though flexibility is desired, sometimes too much deviation can result in conflict and a possible breakup of the group.
The power of mastermind and going in the same direction
When a group has a clear vision and uses the power of mastermind to determine where it is heading, then success will be within reach. My participation in a boat race reminded me of how we finished last despite being the strongest team. On that day, for some unknown reasons, some of us were roaming the opposite way.
