Failure or a Future?

This has not been my best week ever. Don't get me wrong, life as a solopreneur is fabulous; I own my time and no one tells me when I can eat my lunch. I like that...a lot.

I was plunged into solopreneurship in February of 2009 when I was downsized once again; actually the third time in nine years. I was building my business while I was working full-time; making calls during lunches, writing and marketing every evening and weekends, so it was a natural transition.

For some reason, this week has me overwhelmed with financial worries. My business is not supporting me yet and savings are dwindling with every round of bills...and it's funny how they keep coming month after month...don't they know I don't have enough?

When I'm almost asleep, the thoughts crowd in like a flood...what if I don't get any more clients? What if I can't pay my bills? What if? What if?

I've been praying for a breakthrough, an ah-ha moment to push me through this worry barrier. I think I found it today as I was reading a devotional booklet. It was talking about walking in God's calling for my life. It posed the question, "What do you believe God's called you to do? Do it!" Then it came.
God's not limited by your IQ. He's limited by your "I will."

I feel like my calling is to be a freelance copywriter in the fitness and sports fields. I'm not the most informed person on the subject. But am I willing to learn? Yes. I'm not the most experienced on the subject. But am I willing to pay the price that greatness requires? Yes.

Will my bills be paid automatically? No. Will money come? Yes. Because I Will walk in my calling...I Will respond to open doors. I Will use my time in the most productive way possible. My job is to be faithful. God's job is everything else.

Thanks for your blog. I think a lot of business owners feel overwhelmed. I know of a brand new company that is working on a fitness program. I would love to hear about your writings and how I can support you in that endevor.
