Website feedback for a newbie
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi, I've just recently modified my website and I haven't started sending traffic to it yet and I wanted some advice on it before I started doing so.

You can check it out here:

How to Become a Pro-Seller on Zazzle — How to Become a Pro-Seller on Zazzle

I hired a copywriter for the copy and I still have to add the image of one of my testimonies. I also realized that there may be too much white on the screen and that I should probably have black margins on the side.

Honestly... if I clicked on that page I would click off. - black margins and a missing image are not going to help this. You have a kick ton of testing ahead of you.

Personally... that whole top section probably would just disappear. The section starting with the header "How to Become a Pro-Seller On Zazzle" and the video? I would without question have that above the fold. followed by "Here is what youll get..." then the testimonials etc.

What is wrong with the page, in your opinion.

That first heading is super long lol.

Maybe might want to shrink the font a bit so it's not so bold and in your face or at least highlight/change color on some key words so that they are broken apart a bit.

Other than that, I don't hate the page, it's a little plain but a lot better than many others I've seen.

What I don't like are your ebook covers.

A headline that consumes the entire above the fold screen had better be DANG good, and honestly, that one is not.

It may be just my opinion but "How to Become a Pro-Seller On Zazzle" is a far better headline. Since we are in the CRO sub-forum, the only logical answer would be to test the 2. My gut feeling and experience would suggest the line I am suggesting would be a clear winner.

Downsize your really big fonts above the fold. It's not a pretty sight. That would make people bounce in a heartbeat.

All of the elements you need overall are there.

But you need to break this up into a funnel so you can clearly identify the value, plus you want to start them off with a small commitment like their email address for something they perceive as valuable, then once you collect their email address and you know they want what you have in 'small' sample doses then you can offer them your main offer and clearly explain the bonuses and how they apply.

You need better templates to showcase everything you have, a more professional vibe, you could even achieve using Authority Pro 3.

Also, find or get a favicon made. (research favicon if you're unfamiliar)

Make a video! Take a picture of yourself and tell them who you are a bit..
Ask your current testimonials if they'll make you a quick video saying what they do in their comment. Pay them a little as incentive if you have to, it's worth it.

Then I think you'll notice some serious conversions.

Let us know

EDIT:

So.. in essence:

1) Start with a simple opt-in for some brief info about your product and it's main benefits in exchange for their email, then
2) Redirect after that to your 'main offer' after first explaining their 'free' download will be arriving in their inbox as fast as the internet fairies will carry it.
3) Use a sales video, use pictures of yourself and explain who you are a bit.
4) Get your testimonials in video form if you can, and don't be afraid to spend some money to do so, because it will increase your sales.
