Hi guys

Apart from the below mentioned points, are there any other methods for converting visitors to registered users
  1. Use a pop up in your site- with offers/coupon codes
  2. Add a signup form

I feel you have stated the two main ones if I am honest however may be ensuring that you have plenty on your sites to keep visitors interested and wanting to stick around would also be a good idea. Having offers is great but without the good content it will only push them to come for the offers and coupons rather than come to stick around and actually want me be members/registered users.

Try to make the registration process simple. Like use the Facebook comments plugin (if in wordpress) this way you can help them to interact with your website in an easier way. Also you can keep them close to you, follow them and message them just like you would with an email account.

    Hope this helped a bit.

You need to convince your users with catchy headlines, nice written text explaining the product, add some nice pictures, call to actions, describe why they need to buy and how it's going to benefit them.. Let them know they need to have it.

The best thing to do is to go to Quick Sprout. You'll quickly see that you should be modeling what he's doing, and more importantly listen to what he says.

That site is simply the best blog I've ever seen. Plus Neil is 'kinda' a humongous deal....

      That's an understatement btw...

Well, depending on the pop up, there are some pop up that are just plain annoying.
You know what I mean? I hope you can give as at least a visual examples of converting pop ups.

People like to use your services if you deliver best services than others, and they will visit your site if they find your content relevant, hence make your website content helpful and appropriate as per visitors requirement.

This should answer the thread and I don't really find it friendly when it comes to automatic pop out call to action box. Since it distracts the users focus especially if the visitor is reading a certain post or blog.

You may not find it overall friendly - I personally don't like them either but time and again they are proven with testing that they not only work.. but work REALLY well.

I personally use exit intent the most.. vs timed pops or entry pops. but if you look at the big boys.. they in most cases might use all 3 of them.

According to my experience online customer support service is the best way to convert your visitor into a customer. Because when visitors visit your website the live chat agent to answer all visitor questions and guide him/her properly.

Unfortunately, popups are so ubiquitous and aggressive nowdays that they prevent accessing the content. What's even more annoying is that it's not straightforward to find the "X" anymore, sometimes it is on the left side, sometimes there is an "X", but it is not a real "X", etc.

Use live chat. Make a live chat box on your website and talk to customers directly when they visit your site.

These are not methods of converting anything. You need to convince them to sign up somehow, just adding a signup form doesn't mean everyone will be willing to do it!

I heard that "Use a pop up in your site- with offers/coupon codes" this option is not now encouraging by SERP's.

In my own opinion pop-up is the best way to transform your traffic into customers. Last year we installed Picreel platform, and the results have exceeded all expectations. These two basic tools (pop-ups and coupons) should be enough if you'll make all the staff properly. good luck!

Those mentioned above is a good start. Also you could look for customer service software to boost the process.

I know you mentioned offers, but I am not sure whether you meant paid or free.

But, say if you can form some kind of checklist or a how to report on something in your niche..... You should be able to get them to sign up relatively easily. I wouldn't use an annoying pop up for it though. Maybe make a banner off to the side that goes to a landing page for sign up.

In order to increase the conversion rate of your website, the links of your 'conversion pages' should be displayed in a conspicuous place in your website like the top navigation bar. You may also want to consider simplifying the process of filling out the form - eliminate the unnecessary fields. And you should also increase the trustworthiness of your website by adding a detailed 'About Us' page and adding a privacy statement before the 'Submit' button like '100% privacy, I will never spam you!'. Hope this helps!

In order to convert your visitors into customers, you need to come up with a proper marketing strategy such as lead nurturing, creating drip emails, segmenting your audience and even more than just a pop-up.

      Couldn't Agree More!
Just want to add on to that! First, understand your sales funnel (the process you want your customers to experience as they go from prospect to lead to customer to repeat customer) and then create targeted content for your audience that addresses their needs at each step of your funnel. This can be very useful technique if you follow a well-planned content strategy.

Hi mivid! Here are some tips I can give so you'll be able to convert visitors into paying customers:

    1. Understand the psychology of Call To Action buttons and use it to your advantage.
    2. Make use of "persuasive" words in your contents to attract customers.
    3. Be honest and sincere about the product or services you are selling.
    4. Never hesitate to give out rewards by offer promo coupons and discounts. Another way of doing this is by registering to a great affiliate company who can provide you the tools you can use to keep your customers engaged while visiting your site.

    Hope this helps...

Hello, There are tons of methods to get conversions. Here, my suggestion is if you want to get instant conversions from online go with pay per click management and email marketing. Those are the best ways to get conversions. Before you start any of campaign you should create perfect landing page which includes testimonials and reviews of your service.

I think testimonials are a great way to achieve it. Hard thing is knowing how to display. Found this new site testimonialsamples.com collates examples from all over the internet. It's a great resource.

    Use an OPT.IN PAGE
    and deliver the traffic there.

I know it sounds too much simple in comparision to the methods above, but consider that 60-70% of the visitors of a normal site leave it in the first 60 seconds.

So i think it's better havin a SIMPLE opt in page, with less graphics and clear explanation of what the registration implies: giveaways and receive mails.

You have also to justify WHY you will send mails after givin the report/video/etc to them: just write there is training (if there's one) or any valuable content after downloading your giveaway.

You have to SEPARATE the traffic coming from DESKTOP and MOBILE: they need different opt in pages, cause with mobile you have to be more essentials.

For mobile users i wrote an article to have better opt in rates.
