Hi everyone ![]() I need to track conversions on my website every time I get a payment. Yet Google analytics only provides the 3 previous pages a user has been visiting before converting, called Goal Previous Step - 1 Goal Previous Step - 2 Goal Previous Step - 3 The pb is that in my case the goal Previous Step - 3 does not give me much info (it is the login page). How can I go backwards even more ? I need to know which were the pages visited for Goal Previous Step - 4 at least. Thanks heaps ![]() |

Its called "old School" you have to bust out the site log and pull it into excel and break it down. The hard way: start by pulling the data in and "find" those step 3 goals. then extract that information by user IP to get the users path through your site. The easy way: Once you have done it the "hard way" long enough, you get that there should be a better way. that's when you start scripting excel to drop the log information into order for you. and once you have that then you realize that you need to be even more specific and you continue scripting and scripting and scripting. ( easy sounds hard all the sudden!lol ) My personal script that I use is oh god.. 15 years in the making and I made a modification to it just the other day. I just did a search to see if anyone else shares their site log scripts.. and I could not find a one. But at least you get the idea at least
