Hey all, I am stumped at what I need to do to get my conversions to be a little higher on my landing page. My conversion rate is around 10% right now and I am hoping that there may be something I can do to get that up a little higher. Http://www.understandguitar.com Please check it out and give me your thoughts! Thanks so much! |

I'm at work right now so I can't watch your video but... here is my take on it.Don't use free guitar lesson as your headline. Write something more compelling and specific that they can get out of your lessons. For example "Master the string skipping in the next 7 days" Put action verbs and some specific time frame that they can learn from your lessons. Definitively play with your headline as well as sub headline. Also, change the text of your button to resemble more of what you are going to teach them. Example "Give my free lessons now" "start free training," etc. I would also take out the free trial. To me that implies that you will charge me for a membership right away without providing any value to me at first. Teach them something for free for 7 days and on the last day tell them that if they want to learn more and progress quickly then they can sign up for a free trial and how much your membership will cost and what they can learn there. Give them an opportunity for them to get to know you and learn to trust you and realize that you know what you are talking about. |

To be honest the page that immediately follows the "Lets Get rockin!" button is a far better page in terms of possible conversion. Lets break down some of the friction: #1 if you are having to define what your call to action is, then your call to action is not functioning correctly. #2 If you have a headline that states "free Lesson" what is the end user expectation of the video immediately below? #3 Watching the video, and again looking at the page there is a clear disconnect in message... the video says sign up and get a free gift. the page is eluding to there being a need for payment ( "Play like a pro in 2 weeks guaranteed" ) #4 your comparison chart below all of this goes even further with the crossed message. 60 Money back guarantee - what happen to 2 weeks? 14 day free trial.. first I have seen of that.8000 lessons, but click to the next page there is 11,000 I am pointing all these things out to you... but your average user is not going know why they don't trust your site.. they just know they don't. Many of these cues play subliminally. You need to tighten up and make the message Consistent. use the video as the launching point in your sales pitch. LEARN TO PLAY LIKE A ROCK STAR IN 2 WEEKS. right below it small line, learn how our unique system works by watching this video. the call to action then becomes "Start your 14 day trial now." Next headline "How does Guitar tricks Compare to other learning courses. Comparison Graphic then the call to action below. You can cancel at any time the first 14 days are on us Click now to start your free 14 day trial. Not saying this is exact wording or anything, but a blueprint to follow, the message becomes far more consistent between your page and the offer page. if you are converting now, imagine what would happen if you removed all the friction. |
