"Get a free gift" "Get control" "Get a 50"" "Get my free consultation" get get get and get.... Get is one of those terms.. it subconsciously rubs people the wrong way... getting something for free is right in there with if its to good to be true it probably is. I would probably loose the free tv offer.. its cheesy... its what used car dealers do.. Something on the lines of: What has stopped you from looking at solar in the past? the expense right? we have a $0 upfront program! Contact us today for a free no obligation consultation. The opt in form... I think I would get a bit more in depth here. Average energy spend per month. Approximate sqr footage of house. current heating and cooling energy source - drop down electric / gas. I would ask for the actual address ( you can then Google map it ). Get information that is going to help you once you are there. best time to contact them. again with solar people are interested... they know its a process and will be more willing to fill out a more complete form. |

Drop from high-level facts and figures to the ground level. For example when you mention the government incentives, better to tell them the figures per household that they can actually access instead of the national budget. The video is claim heavy. Instead of putting forth a stream of unsupported benefits, mix in some proofing to enhance believability. For example "We've helped people save hundreds of dollars per year on their solar bill. In fact in Tampa this year, we've saved..." |

Standard design people are used to seeing...and tuning out. But the proof is in the pudding: how many visitors are you getting per week, and how many leads out of that are signing up? If everything including the testimonials is about "going green", then why is blue so prominent? It's not a complimentary color to the green in the video. Assume visitors are NOT going to have the patience to watch the video. Now, look at the CTA text. "Get my Free Consultation!" About what? For what? What am I committing to? That's scary! The "It's Simple!" bullet-style text isn't bad, and does address these questions. But it is below the fold, so the visitor may never see it. Plus, a design issue: put images on the left to attract the eye so people then read the text on the right. IMO this page is not doing its job of qualifying prospects well. |

Those images from the testimonials look fake, therefore visitors will exit off the page real quick. Best, Ewen |

Love the feedback, Instead of blue, should I use an image or a different solid color? |

In general this page lacks credibility. Credibility starts with design. A professional, polished design can convey a lot of credibility and imply that the company has made some level of investment in the site thus a reputable/profitable company. In this case, the header is atrocious (e.g. clip-art earth and sun) and hurts credibility. The header should contain the company name, phone number and link to parent site (if applicable). Also, line-spacing could be increased and font-size decreased. I recommend looking at other business sites/pages for inspiration. Including company information on the page will also help. What's the company/what is Solar4Tampa's value proposition? Years in business? Is there a phone number? I would not provide lead information at this point in the process especially without any info regarding who/where my information is going and what they're going to do with it. You might consider removing the form from this step in place of a call-to-action such as "Get your free consultation" that takes them to a form on another page or further down this one so that more content is consumed prior to the ask. Also, consider mentioning a privacy policy in close proximity to the form. Your page content should also assume that people haven't/aren't going to watch the video. |
