Share on:

Hello,
I am planning to promote a product on clickbank.
Can you share your experience with video landing page. What is the average conversion rate on such landing pages.
I am thinking to promote this offer: Text Your Ex Back | How to get back an ex

Landing pages with video will always have lower conversions. That doesn't mean it can't be profitable, because in theory you are qualifying your prospects if they watch the video, but it depends on how you integrate into the sales process. But it depends on the math, and that comes from testing.

If it seems natural to have a video (such as a review/testimonial) and its what the prospect is expecting, then its a different set of circumstances. YouTube reviews would be a natural use of video for pre-selling. If its for squeeze pages, I'd generally advise against video because the conversions are significantly lower.

TYEB has an excellent VSL, so make sure your landing page is not trying to do the work of selling, they've got that covered.

I think the same thing as PvPGuy.

The Text Your Ex Back Video is really excellent.

Maybe I'm wrong but I do not think that making a video to send visitors view another video is a good idea.

Personally I would rather write a page and I would be careful not to repeat exactly what is said in the TYEB video.

Yes I agree with your words, actually I've done this for on of my client's online store and unfortunately the conversion rate was dropped. If you are using video in advertising and send visitor's to you you laning page having content and image will have more conversion rate.

PvPGuy pretty much covered it. So I'm just going to reinforce the idea. Video is great for high ticket items, since video is a great qualifying mechanism and the lower conversion rate can be offset by the high margin of the item. But if you are asking for low level call to actions like signing up or buying a low ticket item, video sales page are kind of overkill.

There are so many variables re the landing page that putting here what to do isn't the smartest response to your statement.

Video landing pages do convert higher. But more so if theres a face in there because people connect with them.

How much better? Depends! Theres so many things to take into consideration. Get together a split test & find out for reals yourself.

I'd use clickfunnels to test that out. With taht being said i wouldn't promote the offer you're promoting theres alot better out there available

Well, Thanks..I sent more than 300 hops, but not a single person visited the order page. I have placed links between content to promote this product. Daily I get around 40-50 clicks, but not a single order page count is what is disturbing to me.

What is your website? Give the link to it and maybe we can make more relevant or more accurate comments.

Difficult for us to say more without knowing what you do.

I'm an email marketer and I've sold several copies of TYEB thru their VSL.

In your case, I believe its either a traffic problem, or your pre-framing message. (Ie: how you link them to TYEB's VSL)

In any case, I won't suggest creating another VSL to sell TYEB. You might as well create your own product and use your VSL to sell your own product.

just my 2 cents

There is no average conversion rate based on a video sales letter, it depends how in sync the script is witht eh target market and traffic coming in.
