I recently launched a modal on our homepage to request users to signup for our newsletter. So far we haven't gotten a single signup after a about one hundred unique views. Would love to get some feedback on the design and any recommendations. See attached for the signup modal. Thanks! |

Hi rantrally, Why does you modal window display competing objectives? One of the key principles in conversion rate optimization is to reduce distractions, reducing competing objectives often improves conversion rates. One of the biggest conversion killers that I know of is competing objectives on the web page, in this case, the modal popup. To make things worse, you have unnecessarily added competing objectives to the popup modal which, IMO very much resembles spam, so it is likely killing nearly all possibility of getting conversions from that page. There could be other issues as well, but that is the most glaring issue one sees at a glance. |
