Super low conversion rate - 225,000+ views/month - HELP!
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

This is my blog.

US/American DNS Codes - August 6th, 2014 - Updated Daily!

Just a brief summary of its purpose:

Netflix and similar services offer different varieties of content to different regions. The USA, for example, lets you view much more content than any other area. However, by changing your DNS address (similar to an IP, it identifies your region), you can access the US Netflix. I post these US dns addresses, so people can access the American Netflix.

I also promote a paid service (featured post) that lets you access American Netflix with much less hassle.

Both of these things are completely legal. It's the same as a VPN.

Can you guys see any ways to increase my conversion rate? Currently it's at less than 1%.

Split test!!!

Seriously, nothing beats actual data on what works best for your target market, your audience, your site, your offer, etc.

With that said, here are a couple ideas.

#1 - remove the massive leaderboard ad in the most important space on your entire website. Your headline should go there and it should smack users in the face with the main benefit to them so they 'get' why they should use your service.

#2 HUGE & colorful 'FREE TRIAL' button. - was not intuitive that i had to click on the bullet points/pricing description area to get through your affiliate offer.

#3 Consider adding a free report and building a list... Right now, it appears that you are trying very hard to drive people away from your site... Whether it is to your advertisers or your affiliate link.

Once they are gone, they are gone...

If you build a list with a "How to use DNS codes to get more Netflix movies so you can...._______" (I'll let you finish that awesome headline) then you will be able to market to those people again and again and again.

You could send out codes every other day to the list directly with a message at the end "Tired of codes that are already used up by other subscribers who got to them first? Click here for the solution"

All in all, right now the site looks like a site that is designed to bring you money in a few ways.... Users get that. The big ads, the affiliate links. No one is fooled.

To 'make it' in this industry, you need to flip this around and get your site so it not only looks like, but so it really is setup to DELIVER VALUE TO YOUR VISITORS as the first and foremost goal.

Visitors need to know, like and trust you before they buy things you recommend...

Wow, thank you very much for the suggestions.

In removing the leaderboard, what do I replace it with? I have the featured post, as well as the side ad promoting the service right now. I don't want to seem like I'm shoving the product in their faces.

Did you mean to replace my "Get it Now!" text with an actual button? If so, that's an excellent idea as well.

As for building a list, it's a bit difficult with this niche, since there's so little to offer. The only thing DNS codes are used for is to access the American Netflix, and people who are on the website already know that. It's not like I can offer a secret, or special tip to them. This is where I'm struggling.

You expect a visitor to read all that text to understand what you are offering. You could make an explainer video about what your site does or try to explain what your site offers in very little words, using graphics. This is your landing page, your goal is to make it convert.

The image about Blockless on the landing page is confusing( you are trying to sell without convincing me, slapping it right on to my face) and the first thing I notice is the big advertisement which is distracting most visitors from the main goal. Remember, you need to make them do a single thing. So remove the ad, remove long boring winding text. Don't make me think.

Maybe, just maybe, you could start collecting the visitors you have into an email list by offering an ebook or free dns codes and then market to them later on. I'd suggest using a pop-up software for this.

You have a good traffic sample. Test the pop-up at at 5 seconds, 10 seconds etc. and see which brings the most conversions.. Design it well. When you have them in your list, tell them about the offer and tell them every now and then.

Hope this helps.

When I clicked on your link the site didn't load for me at all.

Perhaps your site doesn't load for some of your viewers but still counts as a visit?
