PLEASE HELP ME REPLACE SELLERACTIVE!

Hello,
SellerActive is the WORST! I currently use this service to perform the following functions:

1) updates my pricing on ebay and Amazon based on my competitor pricing
2) syncs my ebay listings based on my Amazon FBA inventory
3) automatically updates inventory count when I send new inventory into Amazon FBA

The SellerActive system is so horrible. Let's break down a few reasons why:

1) the features frequently "stop working" (this week, for example, I sold about 10 items that are out of stock on ebay because SellerActive couldn't keep my ebay listings updated. Secondly, it also decided to fail to upload all tracking information from the past 7 days worth of ebay sales. I only caught that this morning )

2) customer support, while initially responsive, doesn't follow through with help tickets. You're required to follow up with them constantly.

3) there are absolutely no (ok, like 5) "how to" aides on their website. Their explanation? They want to literally explain to you, directly, 1:1, how to use EVERY feature of their system. This is their "differentiator" from other services - to me, it's a super foolish way to do business. Please give me screen shots and help guides, so I can problem solve myself. The alternative is that I have to engage you every single time... and half the time, you drop the ball, and don't actually resolve my issue. I actually spoke to the manager directly about creating help guides and his response was, "yeah, I really should do that, huh?"

I've been searching everywhere for a system to replace SellerActive, but I've come up with nothing. If anyone has any suggestions of similar services (for a reasonable price, SellerActive is under 200/mos), I would be very grateful!

    Update!

A couple of other not-so-great-things that SellerActive did this week:

    - Their system stopped updating my ebay sales with tracking information, so I've been manually uploading tracking for the past 40 sales. I contacted seller support and this seems to be an active issue this week which is impacting a number of their sellers. They say they are working on it!

    - A developer accidentally ended one of my listings while trying to trouble-shoot another issue. Thankfully it only had a sales history of 40, instead of some of my other listings, which have hundreds of sales.

Anyone have any ideas on a similar program? Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome!

  • Sounds like you are looking for multichannel inventory tools with repricing software built in? I'd recommend checking out some ecommerce review sites and directories, if you don't get many responses here. I did a quick search on WebRetailer of multichannel software with the keyword 'repricing,' and here's the list I got - Marketplace Management (Page 1 of 1) | Web Retailer It's not a huge list, but its a start. I don't have any personal experience with these software providers, as I work for a 3P inventory tool myself.

Good luck to you! Hope you find something you like.

That's how it works now. If you look at the large enterprises they have a) huge number of programmers; b) business centric so limited code to change; c) both combined. The smaller providers given that they are based on heavily programmed platforms cannot adapt fast enough and when they do, don't regression test their products due to lack of resources thereby breaking something (normally plural) along the way.

Unfortunately this will become worse going forward not better as Amazon to eBay to Google are able to adjust very quickly. What you need to do is map your requirements to the providers available from Linnworks to Brightpearl to Channel Advisor, learn the way they work, and then expect to have to re-iterate the process in the future when either your business grows and/or the provider cannot keep up with the changes required.

We work on a different process so avoid these pitfalls, but that's not appropriate for these forums.
