How to become a dropshipper

What are some ways to become a drop shipper for retailers who are looking to distribute products in a region. Currently I have a large warehouse that I am using for my small distribution business. I have plenty of room to warehouse product, but I am not sure how to make contacts to become a drop shipper for people.

    I am not a drop shipping expert, but I would start by making a list of retailers within the region and then start contacting them to check if they have a drop shipping requirement, explain the benefits of the service and allow them to try the service on few orders for free just to gain some trust.

    Many retailers in the US now use Amazon or eBay to drop ship products. However, I feel there is still lot of scope for other drop shipping industry to grow further. There is definitely a lot of room for smaller and regional drop shippers.

    Yeah I feel there is still a lot of room for retailers to use a different drop shipper in different regions. This is how many places are offering a discounted shipping rate for a quick turnaround. I have gone to some retailers in my area, but none are very interested in having that service. Many think doing it themselves out of there stock rooms is just as good, even though I have the same product in my warehouse. Has anyone had any success with drop shipping in their area, if so what retailers if you are able to disclose did you get a contract with.

    Well, it sounds great that you are thinking about drop shipping strategies and I would like to suggest you, just target those places where shipping service is not easily available. After that, make a deal with local boys as well as wholesalers, sell products and enjoy the job.

      It just seems when I try to find a place where shipping services are not easily available, I am losing profit due to the higher costs with the associated area. I am trying to find a competitive market, but also where I can keep my cost lower.

    I think, you need to sign up with dropshipping company and get in touch with wholesalers and after that make a list of product what you want to sell. After that, you can also attract the person by images and description and also provide them payment and detail information about your services.
