Hi all any suggestions for good multilingual shopping carts? Most of the shopping carts like 1shoppingcart offer just English and I cant possibly understand the reason why when internet is intended to sell for the whole world and not only for a few countries.

    I think, VP-ASP Shopping Cart is the best multilingual shopping carts, where 20+ languages are pre integrated and also offers dual currency functionality i.e. you can check transaction service in two different currencies on your website.

      The reason why carts are not delivered multi-lingual is pretty simple: The makers are mostly coders, not translators. And not to forget, there is Internationalisation and Localisation. Americans did copy the British writing, but stumbled along the way from time to time. Pretty funny, actually, that some now consider their wrong copy to be correct. But I digress.

    That's a good point - ecommerce is global, you would think more website builders would offer some sort of translation software. I would reach out to the heavy hitters in the shopping cart department and ask if they have a translation functionality. Shopify, Bigcommerce and 3dCart are probably a good place to start. Worth a shot to reach out and ask if they can accommodate you?

    If you're comfortable building the site yourself, Magento and ZenCart are completely open sourced. Both solutions have a community forum, where you can ask questions to other developers around the globe. Maybe someone in one of those forums built a script to help with translation?
