Shopify to WordPress: Keep the Shopify site as a traffic generator or cart products for SEO boost?
More details, we stopped needing a cart and wanted more control over marketing activities hence the switch. All of our leads are deals made over the phone - shopping carts don't make sense to us.
After the launch of the new site, we looked at backlinks in SEM rush and some of our top-scoring backlinks are coming from the Site.MyShopify.com URL they provide you when you sign up. Should we use the Shopify site to drive traffic to the new site?
We also want to get into the top Google shopping tiles and it feels like companies with products get priority. Does it make sense for us to have a handful of products that can be bought from a cart for the backlink and/or Google boost?
