Does anyone have experience in marketing premium alcohol products? I am particularly interested in recommendations for which digital marketing channels (e.g. social media, google ads etc.) work. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Your just starting? you need to brand before anything - look up Gary Vaynerchuk's "How to build brand in 7 minutes"

You will need to go HEAVY social media - not A one single platform but MANY

After months of hitting social media and hopefully getting traction, you can then think about running Google Ads etc...

Send bottles to people on Youtube that taste test your type of product.

You have to build BUZZ around your product ( pun kinda intended )

    Best of luck!

Admittedly, I have no experience at all in marketing alcohol products. That said, there was an important lesson I learned in a college advertising class that I think is pertinent ...

A (now) famous Vodka brand that shall go unnamed originally launched their brand as an affordable vodka and set their prices accordingly, at the very bottom of the market. The brand bombed and they hired an advertising agency to help them attain more sales.

The advertising agency told them that their price was way too low and that they would never be taken serious as a brand until they raised their prices. They raised their prices to match the very top level vodkas being sold and low and behold, their sales (and profits) increased dramatically.

I've seen this over and over again with really cheap, nationally unknown beer brands that reversed course, later pricing themselves higher and marketing themselves as a "premier" brand.

My advice would be to start right out of the gate pricing the brand at the top echelon and marketing it with phrases such as "when you can afford the very best" or "when you really want to impress".

People are extremely gullible and perception far outweighs reality when it comes to things like alcohol.
