Building a list with Facebook ads

Hey,

I've read lots of posts on here regarding building a list with facebook ads. But I want to know, is it better to use 'Website conversions', 'clicks to website' or 'Page post engagement' for sending traffic to my squeeze page?

I have heard PPE is cheaper, but website conversions you can track easier? I will be using power editor exclusively.

Obviously I want to get the cheapest clicks/engagements, but also want quality leads (understand targeting is a major factor).

With regarding interests, I can't intersect them so my targeting is going to be broad...say if I am doing weight loss, I can't target 3 interests to narrow down the audience, as it works as 'OR' not 'AND' targeting. How do people get around this if they can't laser target??

Also do I optimize for website conversions, or clicks?

I'm super confused about it all so hope people can shed some light for me?

Cheers

It's very difficult to answer your question without knowing more about what it is you want to promote on Facebook. Is your niche/offer/service allowed based on their terms of use?

You can find various recent guides on Google or your favorite search engine to get specific details on which to choose and when. More information than can be shared in one forum post, I'm sure.

Audience Intersect my friend. Adds the AND you have been looking for.

I'll be promoting affiliate products. Yeah my niche is facebook friendly. I would rather stay away from audience intersect... cheers for your replies.

    Anyone else got any pointers?

The best way to go is with a video campaign using clicks to website. You can then target the viwers who click through to your website and retarget them later. I have a video ad running on Facebook now at 0.02 cents per click.
