Mailchimp Integration with CRM

New here so go gentle.
I want to understand whether the below is possible:
I want Mailchimp to send an automated campaign two years after the purchase of a product. The record of the product being purchased would be in Sage CRM - it may not always be in an online store and therefore Mailchimp's out of the box automation would not be possible.
Is this possible or should I be using a different solution to achieve this?
