Video Link Magnet Question

Hello All. Newbie email marketer here. I'm creating a ten minute video that will serve as a lead magnet for building my email list, as well as of course provide value for my potential customers. My question is, Where do I host the video, and how do I provide access to subscribers? Should I include the video directly in the email they will receive upon subscribing? Or should I post it on my website and give them a link to the page? Or something else?

I would suggest you host the video on your website and provide a link in the welcoming email to the video page. In addition, it would help if you had some affiliate products on the site they may be interested in and purchase, so you will begin making money immediately.
Please do not give them the link on the thank you page they will land on immediately after subscribing; tell them to go to their email inbox and look for an email containing a link to the free offer.

Thank you, and I especially get that it's best not to include the video on the thank you page, better to engage them with the email.

You can use youtube. When uploading video make it unlisted. This is done with the filters tab on your channels upload page. When a video is uploaded as unlisted then it can only be viewed via direct link.

If this is something that you will be doing often then it might be wise to use a platform like Vimeo where you can password protect your video's

Ah, this is good to learn, I wasn't aware of the unlisted option with youtube. That sounds like a good way to go. Vimeo, hmm, ok I'll look into that as well.
      Thank you!
