Is "E-mail marketing + Clickbank" still a thing in 2023?

Hello,

10 years ago I had this strategy that had pretty good results:

- get traffic from social media
- send them to a landing page with a free gift (e-book)
- get their e-mail
- sent follow-ups and broadcasts promoting Clickbank products in the niche
- make money as an affiliate

Does this strategy still work in 2023?

If yes, which e-mail marketing platforms are the best? Back in the day, I used AWeber and Mailchimp. Are they still relevant today?

Yes, all experts agree that this is the best method. But I have found that the most important element in this strategy is email, so I preferred to stay away from ads and building landing pages.

It is better to buy email lists without the need for ads or building landing pages.

This is more cost-effective and much faster scalable.

Yeah, I would like to know that as well.

    Aweber and GetResponse still valid.

Mailchimp is not and has never been suitable for affiliate promotions IMO.

I've seen several 'returning members' recently who have been inactive online for 5-10 years....and they are asking if what they did online in the past is still valid today.

The basics don't change though tools and methods do. The bigger question is this:
I had this strategy that had pretty good results
If that is the case, why did you quit?

Chances are what you were doing did not work as well as you wanted...best thing to do now is start over. Decide what type of business you want online, learn the basics, and work to make it profitable.

It's definitely still a thing, but have you considered buying a PLR product (dress it up a bit), setting up a sales funnel and selling the "dressed up" PLR cheap (then have upsells in the funnel), getting affiliates to promote it for you for a percentage of the sales, and you'd get the email list for free? Segment the list with the upsells for low, mid and high ticket (or however many steps in the funnel you want).

Then you could set up Clickbank offers to broadcast on the backend and have a buyers list from the start to promote to as an affiliate. It takes a bit to set up, but way better conversions because your list already bought from you.

    Aweber is cool with it.

Email marketing will always be relevant if you ask me .As far as I know A webber is still in operation .

As far as click bank and its products you might have to conduct product reviews and also get additional feed back from customers to see if they are getting value for money.

Yes and Yes! Email marketing has never stopped working from the beginning.

You should try cold email to gain more leads!

Yes, that can still work nowadays. However, it also depends on whether you have the necessary skills and the discipline to stick with it for at least 6 months. You have to constantly optimize, see what works and what doesn't.

Furthermore, I would say that this approach will probably work better in niches outside of the "make money online" bubble. Also, don't forget that competition has naturally become bigger nowadays. More and more people see the internet as an opportunity to build something for themselves.

This means that if you really want to succeed, you should make sure that your offer stands out from the competition. If you try the same generic stuff as everyone else, it won't work.

It is extremely important that you genuinely believe in the products you promote, that you have tried them yourself and think they are good. Otherwise, no one will buy from you. People are not stupid. Well, most of them aren't..

It's still a workable strategy. I have used videos and YouTube shorts with clickbank link or my digital business profile with clickbank link.
