Hello Everyone, I wanted to bring forth an interesting challenge to everyone today. This one is really something different, and I don't see anything like this in the forum. You may have noticed that recently, I've been releasing products, like a squeeze page, and a blogging theme. All custom designed, and great looking .. These things have been selling like hotcakes, and my customers are coming back to me with so many new ideas of themes that I could get created.Well, I want to get another theme made, I've already got a deal with the designer, to make me another theme... He's just waiting on the info so he can start work on it. This is where you guys come in. I want to make a theme for Internet Marketing, with an Admin Panel and everything... He'd do all that for me, but what would be the most interesting theme.. Just some ideas -- A sales page with easy change headers -- Minisites -- Blogs -- Instant Review Sites -- Squeeze Pages -- Etc I want to get some ideas on what WOULD be the most kick-butt idea for a theme for internet marketing. For those who participate here are the prizes. A) For EVERYONE who votes -- A free copy of the theme B) For The Person Whose Suggestion Is Chosen -- A War Room Membership OR $37 towards the WSO of there choice {i'll buy it for you}. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or post below. Talk Soon Caleb Spilchen |

In my mind the best internet marketing site theme should include the following: * products review site * integrated phpBB Forum * integrated blog * integrated shopping cart * integrated ebay store option * integrated live video stream option – this would be useful for an online pet store, like for example a parrot breeder who wants to give a live broadcast of his feathered beauties for "adoption" (I don't like the word "sale" when it comes to living beings) And finally – the theme should support RTL languages and be translatable. Good Luck! |

HI caleb being a newbie, what comes to mind is how do display a list of articles you have on your blog. I have an area to display a page but Is there wp theme out there that would bascially do this? i.e you have an articles tab. YOu click on it, and it will display all the articles titles you have posted on your blog(not your posts). I have looked at a number of wp themes and they seem to be the same way, only pages. |

I'd personally love to see a wordpress minisite, with interchangeable header and a few colour options, with the option of a developer license. I am not good with html (understatement!) and I could see a lot of use for this type of theme.

Best option these days, if you base your project on WordPress, is to create a theme, that combines blog and magazine. What comes from magazine, should be: - nice homepage, that has sliding images (people love them) and intros to all content sections, with latest articles; - 4 columns (one wide on left - for main content, and three sidebars on right - here you'd put all supportive content: ads, links, subsectionss, comments, banners, etc.). What comes from blog: - simple and non-moderated comment form; - social networking buttons (just few of them, like Twitter and Facebook); - news section, where visitors can identify latest from your project. And don't forget - the design of theme should be user friendly, professional and eye-catchy, people judge the resource by its design in first couple seconds |

Hi Caleb My idea of a great theme for wordpress is the following: At the top above the fold should be a small html section to put squeeze page and auto- responder code ( big enough for short decription and email box),this should be above the posts and with an option to display on all or some pages. Also the following: in built seo in built sitemaps option for 1,2,3 or 4 colums in built google anynalatics user friendly adsense options advertising space in the top right of header or html area in header for intr to site. option to change all colours.headers, width, height, footer no forced links! kind regards blueclcl |

I would look for a theme that could easily create the below -- A sales page with easy change headers -- Minisites -- Blogs -- Instant Review Sites -- Squeeze Pages -- Adsense (think XFactor) -- Membership site features -- Easy integration of vBulletin Forum |

A theme with intergration to: Clickbank Ejunkie Php based forums Vbulletin forum Simple: Press wp plugin forum The ability to have a sales page and blog factor. Sales page on the front screen with a blog sytem in the back. Intergrated plugins/systems: Membership system (Think magic members/rap/dap/etc..) Chat function (live support functions, etc..) Affiliate platform with options of instant commissions and ability to upload documents/files for affiliates with customizable affiliate blog platform (training tips for affiliates, etc..). Analytics, sitemap and webmaster tools Notable abilities: one click upsell/downsell process Oto offer intergrated The theme would have interchangable headers, etc.. The ability to hide certain membership from the registration form. For example: User joins for a $1 free trial, after 7 days they are billed automatically for a $37 per month billing. Why not give them an intergrated one time offer type membership where they pay an additional say, $77 one time, for even more content, while still keeping that $37 per month billing. The "One Time" wouldn't really be considered an OTO. It would be somewhat of an additional offer inside the membership. All in all: A complete membership theme. I'm sure there are other things but I can't think of them off the top of my head. I know there are already themes like JVpress, Optimizepress, etc.. But There isin't a theme (that I know of..) that offers the customization and flexibility of a theme like that, complete with a membership script inside it. With most of them (if not all) you have to buy the theme on top of a highly priced membership plugin and affiliate platform to go with it. Hope this gives you some ideas. Matt |

Hi Caleb, I think looking at the Optimze press theme and trying to improve on that would be a good starting base. Or even themes that take portions of it. The membership area is very good for example. Hope things are going well for you. It sounds like they are. |

Hi Caleb, No need to include me in the competition, but I'm about to do a major upgrade of my primary site (the one that "links" to my money sites).... My "to-do"list - Removing the clutter. Clear sales page front page Blog back-end for seo and repeat visitor content. Simple sidebar content that links to all my sites. Clearly visible easy optin for subscriptions. The goals for the site? (i) Refer visitor to money site. (ii) Have visitor opt-in for follow up. And the one thing that I *won't* be doing... is using a template that is used by IMers all over the world. It's time to "stand out". Paul |

Your challenge should stop with my challenge idea... ![]() Can you and your designer create a fully working WP Theme for DIGITAL PRODUCT MARKETPLACE with site feels/looks like fiverr.com ??? So, all members can join and start upload their file for sale for commission, just like that photo-stock sites. And it is preferably if your theme can include an Amazon S3 integration, so everyone can run your theme easily on any shared hosting server. While the video to preview any product itself is hosted on YouTube.com. Affiliate system and if possible credit-deposit system for any buyer that still loves to pay manually via bank-transfer. Monetize with advertising area would be also a great feature on it. That would be nice. Even if I don't win here... but if you really can make it as a dream come true... I wouldn't mind to buy it from you. ![]() Thank you and good luck. |

I am a newbie so don't laugh too hard at my suggestions, but so far every theme and blogging software I have looked at come up short in some area or other and if you don't have experience with these things even a small glitch can stop you completely sometimes. I like Blueclcl"s suggestions and I would like to add a few too them. Easy Change Header W/a lot of options and not just different colors(Broad Niche Graphics and backgrounds) and Generic Headers that you can load an image on if you want easily. plugin manager that you can use your own plugins in (all the great ones I have bought here) and the free ones. multiple layout options (#of columns, squeeze, sales page,Mini site, etc) Easy Monetization W/major aff programs and able to promote own product. Mobile Optimised. Set up for social Media and we choose which one to include. Stand alone software that I don't have to load on my hosting site. Lots of options so they won't look alike Developer license because I want to be able to sell them if I want. I may have went outside of just a Theme, but there you are. I would really like an auto blogging software that lets you do everything including customising your theme. |

One of my ideal wordpress themes would be if someone would make the complete tonyrobbins.com website into a wp theme. That Would Rock! Because you could showcase your business in a more than just professional manner. Video, Quotes, Navigation, Social Icons, Blogs etc. everything is in the right place and just perfect. THAT would be the theme that would help my business the most. Other than that i'd love a theme with a tabbed slider where all the content is present. Like: you arrive at the home page which is the first tab, you click on >>next<< in the body and it slides to the next tab and to the top of the page. And so on. Give me that theme! ![]() Of course the content area would have to be seperated from the rest of the page so one >could< add a widgetized sidebar and the colors would also need to be different. yada yada yada Give me those themes! |

Ok: A theme that works for affiliates and/or product creation purposes: - Sales Page and/or landing page. - A blog page (could or could not have a magazine layout, I'd go with blog for KISS) - A colorful 'About me/us' page. - pre-made 'custom and skinnable' Aweber opt in form with it's own thank you page. Extra features ideas. - An option to include pre-written content such as disclaimers, privacy policies, etc. - Basic SEO out of the box (to make it eventually an all in one solution) - Media Posts (An option to separate a 'just video in this post' from regular text posts). - Internationalization. - Simple Contact Form. - Upload your own header option directly from theme's admin panel. Extra ideas for upsells: - Integration with clickbank, adsense, etc. (From here you could not also upsell but stretch to new products with the requests from the different tribes) - 'Skins' as in thesis theme. - (Plug and Play) Upgrades with more specs. - Develop customizations as plugins so you can reutilize code and sell it later. AND last but not least: Thank you in advance for my War Room Membership. |

The Dagon Design W.P. sitemap plugin, more or less, does this. It's certainly worth a look, and is said to improve your ranking too. http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/sitemap-generator-plugin-for-wordpress/ Good luck, Stephen | |

It depends on what you are Looking to do and who your target audience is. A Sales Page is a Must A Blog is a Must but not always on Page 1 Squeeze Pages come in Handy The ability to make a Membership is very Good Colorful and the ability to change the Header is important The ability to change the width is Good Choosing left or right sidebars or Even both is important A variable footer is Good And the ability to change the CSS and structure is (Not to difficult) My First thoughts... Hope this Helps |

This is a very broad question. There's definitely some good feedback in here, but, the range of answers is pretty diverse. Is there a certain type of Internet Marketer you want to cater to? E.g., niche site builders, affiliate marketers, content marketers, etc...? Building an all-in-one theme, with squeeze pages, drag and drop design, forums, membership site capability, etc... would be pretty clunky. Even if it was done well. Maybe one of the recommendations listed above could be the core of your theme? Anyway, sounds like you're doing great with your Theme business, so best of luck to you on the next one! :-) |

I'd go with the "Mobile Funnel" Everything from squeeze pages, sales pages, and membership site integration but built for the mobile platform. I know there are themes out there that are responsive but not necessarily built so that the customer can actually optin, view the offer, purchase the product, and receive the product seamlessly through a mobile device. It would be awesome if there were a WPtheme like this without having to buy some sort of software or system. Does this exist already - without having to piecemeal anything together? If so, pull out your aff links and send it to me ASAP |
