Hi Jaybaker, I guess one of my biggest problems is getting a steady flow of work. Seems like this is a feast-or-famine business. Since January I have had many more inquiries for work than I can possibly handle - and some of these were really neat topics! Then comes the summer months and every year, the work slows to just a mere trickle-dribble. Picks up again come fall - but forget the Christmas season, when we all need the work/money the most! I surely do wish I could have a more even spread of clients, begging me for my wonderful writing services [] all year round. Since I specialize in writing for the Internet, there really shouldn't be a dearth of clients! Thanks, Dot |

My biggest question would be where to find the best back-links ( paid or Free ). I know fiverr and those but not ever one can do it right and would like to be able to find it myself if need be.

Hi jaybaker, My question is not necessarily relate to IM....but it's affecting me to moving forward on the path to build a Internet business. How do get yourself to do something that u'v never done before in IM. For example, I'm thinking to create a product which is build base on interviews with other marketers. You can probably tell by now that English is actually my second language and it can be quite nerve breakin to conduct an interview not just coz of the lack of interview related skills. Would be much appreciated if any advice is given from u and other fellow warriors~! Cheers~ |

I am trying to break into the offline market. I want to offer a whole suite of products, mobile web sites, sms, web pages, seo, backlinks, etc. I have been piecemealing this together and I think I have a good package. But this have been a real problem and very time comsuming. A good wso would help incorporate all these features along with a mindmap. There's more parts than I mentioned. Hope this helps you.

It is for legal reasons why most are excluded... Last thing I want to do is get in a huge legal battle over a digital product I am creating.

I suppose my biggest problem is lack of capital to persue my business. I can get all the tools and infomation I need and I have figured out keywird search and driving traffic when I want. However, when I get the cance for a mentor, most that call me want at least $500 or more for them to tell me what I'm doing wrong. In fact, I think I know. I'm swimming with the stream instead of against it. Everytime I try to swim against the norm, I make headway but as soon as I "come to my senses and go with the current, I hit a stand still. Not to mention those I was working with seem to disappear when I need the most help or advice. Of course trying to stay afloat and deal with the stress of not having enough money to live poses a problem as well. Were I to get a small trickle going, I know my business would flourish and I could stop stressing enough to focus. So lack of money. If that changes for the better, my focus, drive and creativity will have room to grow. I suppose in the end, that's the problem of the 98%. Hard to set aside cash to build a business when you barely have enough to keep the bill collectors at bay. Just sayin'. |

My biggest problem is how to protect my products from plagiarism, because it's so rampant in my country. I've tried converting the ebook products to physical books through a local Kindle-like company which accepted such thing. But I can't hold a special insane firesale because the company had fixed minimum price. Digital ebook is simply more hassle-free. Also, how to make your audience respect your content by not copying and pasting it (and not giving backlink or credit). I have put a locker plugin in my site to prevent copying. but some people just able to go to a great length. And my other "challenge" (ahem) is my computer connection very slow. I want to interview an expert, but English being my 2nd language (hope it's not problem), and my slow connection can disturb the interview. |
