Newbie Start Up Challenge

I want to post a challenge to all the newbies.

Stop Buying WSO's for now.

Here is how this is going to work:

You go out and find an offline client.
I will take you by the hand and show you how to do everything for that client. Stop buying every other WSO that comes out about Offline Marketing and just go get clients.
Look, if you are on the Warrior Forum, you probably know way more than most business owners. So, I am going to assume that you know what you are talking about for the most part.

You go and find a client. I can even help with client acquisition if needed. I will provide you some tools, but not get the clients for you.

Once you get a client, you contact me. When you contact me, we work together, hand in hand, so I can teach you everything you should know about the process of setting up Google Places listings for businesses. Not just the listing though. We will get into the domination of the first page. I don't consider a top ranked Places page enough.

I am willing to help the first 5 people that contact me with a paying client.
What's the catch? You split the fees of the first client with me... The start up fee only... The on-going fee is yours to keep.

Why? I am going to be working with you for 30 days at least. I can't do this for nothing. Also, I am not willing to help those that won't help themselves first. By getting your first client, you have taken initiative. Now, we build your business.

Buy all the WSO's you want after we are done working together... I don't care. I just don't want to deal with someone that has Shiny Object Syndrome.

After the initial client is set up, you will know how to do Google Places the right way... Sorry, no Black Hat stuff here. Why should you know how to set up Google Places? So you know how to hire outsourcers. What happens if an outsourcer quits? What do you do? Panic? NO! You get the job done while finding other outsourcers.

Why Google Places? The work is simple to understand initially. And I don't want you to be a service whore. A whore offers everything under the sun and lets you pick what you want. A professional offers what would be the most beneficial to their clients. Being on the first page of Google is very bbeneficial to your client. I want you to focus on one thing until you do this well. Then, you can offer additional services to your clients. I will show you how to do these to maximize profits as a part of the coaching.

NEWBIES... STOP SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF LIKE DOING THE WORK.
GET THE CLIENTS AND THE WORK WILL GET DONE. PERIOD.

This does sound like an appealing offer, however it is better to know what we should offer. How much should we charge for it. Also what type of conversation we could lead them to in order to sale the services to them.

What I meant by dominating was... Doing everything you can to get page one rankings. There are local organic results and you want as many of those as possible.

You can offer whatever service you feel most comfortable with. I usually start with either Website Design or Google Places or a combination of both.

I would never do anything for $3/hr... but, that is just me.
If that is what works for you, then do it. And do it well.
At that rate, you would have to do it yourself, or find someone who will work for even less. Then outsource to that person and take your middle man fee.

See what I offer above. Also as far as pricing, I charge:
$1250 upfront, and $495 monthly for Google Places domination
$1495 for a WordPress site with free hosting for the first year
$2000 if they want both

You want to know the words that work magic........

"Would your business benefit from more customers?"
Then listen to what they say.
You have two ears and one mouth.... Listen twice as much as you talk.
Show the business owner you have their best interests in mind.

Some businesses don't want more customers. They are happy with the way things are. Some don't know what they would do if they had a increase in customers. Some won't survive without customers.
Everyone is different, and you won't know until you ask.

i'm not extremely social, like a sales person. how do i find a client? in a general sense. i've always had trouble finding client, i'm not the type to do cold calling, so for me it was a big brick wall, as a freelancer.

I believe best place to sell services is indeed the net itself! Isn't the internet the biggest marketplace?

This sounds like a great deal, I've got a couple of clients I can target to ry and get the business (it's more about finding the time to actually get it done) There's only 26 hrs ion a day and I'm working 27

BUT there's money to be made - so I'll find the time to talk to them - Question though would you go to them and offer a Facebook fan page for say $1000 - 1500??

Aghh! I just turned down a client who was willing to pay $3k up front and then $300 to $500 monthly. Why didn't I see this thread earlier?

I am just using offline clients as a starting place. The market is less competitive for someone new. Yes, there are several firms that cold call businesses all the time, but being local gives you more credibility.

To be honest, it all depends upon how much value you present to your client. If you can show them how spending $1500 on a FB Fan Page will increase their business by 5x or 10x the investment.... it should be no problem. However, I charge $495. Sometimes a lot less... around $249

I think you misunderstood the thread. I am helping people do just that so they don't need your services.... or at least, know how to do it before handing it over to a freelancer.

ooh n btw....wudnt we have to buy the domain name ourselves and be in charge of the website and hosting in order to be able to to OFF the switch for non paying customer on a monthly service?...how do u get around this??

I wouldn't worry about this. I don't maintain control of everything. They own the domain, and have either paid me to build a website or already have an existing site. And they continue to pay for hosting, whether through me or some other hosting company. You don't need to maintain those things. You can, but I don't. If you want to maintain those things, you might be better off doing the rent-a-site model.
Also, if you are worried about losing your client, don't.
If you do a good job, your client will stay. Even if they don't they aren't the only one in the world. There are plenty of others.

Say the client stops using your company after one month....
So, using the structure I suggest, you would have only created an article and video or two. Those will not be difficult to outrank with more content. No big deal. However, if you are still worried. You can maintain control of the YouTube account, and Ezine account. Then all you have to do is pull down the video, or change the url in the article. Ta da!

Don't let the small things get in your way.
