How to grow my event website?

Hello,

I'm working on an event website for one specific target audience in one country.
We're seeing some initial tracktion, mostly from Google and cold email outreach to event organizers.
The cold email outreach works ok, but it quite time consuming.

Our most important growth factor at the moment would probably be, to get more organizers to sign up and post their events on our website.

What are your ideas for experiments on growing into that direction?

20 - 40 visitors each day
1k+ cold emails sent
ca. 200 email replies (199 happy, 1 neutral - about free advertisment)

I would say your e-mail replies are REALLY high - 20% response rate is AWESOME.

There is a bit of a catch 22 here. YOU want more people to list the events ( and get paid ) BUT the people you are seeking need people to visit their events.

The maybe not so obvious answer here is to keep up with your e-mail efforts but spend F A R more time working on the people that would attend the events.

Generally speaking people that put on events... attend events... and if they are online looking for event X and run across your site... they will start to be conditioned to use your site to list their events.

In any and every online venture the magic key is end user traffic.

Sounds like you have a very specific niche. I would be using Instagram and say FaceBook, and Twitter to be self branding ( your website ) client events that are currently listed on your site.

To make this clearer. you would look at events for Friday... you would create a post or image about the event Date and time perhaps and then call to action would be to click the link ( to your site ) for more details. make sense?

That is true - the old "marketplace" issue.

Ok, sounds like an idea - we'll give it a shot.

It does. We're doing this on Facebook already - but extending to IG and Twitter is a good idea, thanks.

I have lots of ideas but I won't bore you with those.

Sending emails should not be burdensome, are
    you using an autoresponder system?

Your event website's purpose is unclear to me.

Are you booking events, hosting events, or just
advertising events. How are you monetizing?

Are you promoting virtual events, because it
seems that you are limiting yourself.

There are several ways to monetize your site
with affiliate offers for webinar services and
    other related products.

And I hate to point this out, but there are some
glaring typos in your post. You need to make
sure that you are able to proofread your work,
especially if sending emails and developing
    websites.

Clients expect a high level of professionalism
and overlooking things like this can have a
    negative impact on your business.

If it's on how to grow user generated content, I'm all ears

Currently manually but now that the processes / drip content is clear, I'll move towards a marketing automation + CRM (since I'm using the site for a case study about those).

Currently it's 'just' a hobby project. We're using the website ourselves to know about upcoming events. Later on it should be:
      Affiliate, advertising, own products

So far, the focus is on offline events - it's easier for the duplicate checks and matching. Additionally, that's a bit of the nature of the events.
But there are virtual events in the niche. So far I have been ignoring these.

I couldn't agree more. No worries, for the text online / email content we're using software to proofread and partly AI to generate/proofread.
They are on a different level than my forum posts.

1 way to get more traffic is to repurpose your content .

Another way of doing it is by boosting a few of your post .

Collaborate with event-related influencers or bloggers
Offer early bird discounts or special perks for registrations
Utilize email marketing to reach your audience directly, and consider partnerships with other event-related businesses for cross-promotion.

    1. Understand your audience. Chances are if someone is on your event website it's not by accident -- they've clicked through from your webpage or via social or email links.
    2. Promote your brand.
    3. Keep your event website simple.
    4.Make your site fast.
    5.Make it easy to navigate.
