Most reliable free Skype conversation recorder software

Hello all,

I was using Pamela until recently (It doesn't work with my old Windows 8). Can anyone recommend a viable alternative? Thank you in advance.

    I am a podcaster and I record Skype as a backup using the MP3 Skype Recorder software. It is free. They have a Pro edition but it's not something I've needed. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever, I'm just someone that uses it myself as a backup to my recording that I do with my other podcasting equipment. I like redundancy so I use this too, just in case. I love that it automatically starts and stops so I don't even have to remember to turn it on and off for the call.

    We use the recorder that is built right into Skype. Why doesn't that work for you?

    On a side note, I can't believe you are using an operating system that Microsoft stopped supporting 4 years ago. Your computer is a virus waiting to happen!

    I see you asked another question on whatsapp recorder app for samsung?? Not familiar with free app for mobile. But as to computer recorder, I know free OBS is really really functional (besides the settings are too advanced to set for beginners like me..) If you're a newbie to screencasting, easier RecMaster screen recorder is also a great choice for Windows PC.
