EzineArticles Success Thread

by Rush
43 replies
I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we can all share our success (or failure) with EzineArticles as a purpose of driving traffic. It would be interesting if others would share how many total articles they have submitted and how many views they are getting each month (it doesn't have to be exact numbers).

So far I have submitted 20 articles and I'm getting around 500 article views per month.

What about you guys?

Great replies so far. I'm sure other people's success will help motivate some of us (like me) who are slacking at submitting articles.

I don't think it's crap. You can build a wealth of traffic through ezine, it just takes time, like all things in internet marketing.

11 articles written this summer and 300 views per month. I will rely heavily on article marketing in 2010.

Care to explain WHY with proof?

And I also saw your thread regarding this but I don't think it's enough to easily make people believe that "EZA is nothing but crap"

      So I'm asking again,

Care to explain WHY with proof?

      Thanks

Well I have my proofs only if you do a search on my names on ezine articles, I wouldn't be just saying it for the fun of it, sometimes you try to write an article that is totally original and you could swear by it but the next thing is they tell you that the quality of the article or content of the article does not hold authentic by the same author.

Well I wouldn't want to state so much hear talking about EZA, lots of folks have successes with EZA, I respect that, I am not saying I don't get views with EZA, but sometimes I believe the system doesn't work, when you go through your Stats pages you don't get to see url click thorughs from your articles even when you try to make them organic through searches but then I will hold my statement because of the respect and nothing more

        Hope I answered you well

If your articles are as well written as this post, it's easy to see why you haven't had much success with EZA.

I don't understand why you would say that.

I have been doing article marketing mainly with Ezine for
two to three months & already It has helped me get
to page 1 item 9 on google for keywords - Bets Offer, based
on one of our websites, with a search of more than 5m.

Not to shabby after just two & half months of writing a few
articles & a bit of other marketing.

I would have to respectfully disagree. While I have not been in IM that long, I can say that ezinearticles has given me a great start in article marketing. I have been making several hundred dollars per month consistently, just writing articles linking to a simple review style blogger blog.

Also, I seriously doubt that guys like Sean Mize, Fabian Tan, Steven Wagenheim, Tim Gorman, etc. would be posting articles and center a decent amount of their business model around driving traffic with articles.

I am not saying that it is the best method of promotion, but it has given me some decent results, so I will continue to use it.

btw my stats are 188 articles, 91,751 views. Not great by any means, but I am happy with my progress.

If you get article views, you get clickthroughs to your affiliate link or website with adsense on it. Then you make money.

you need one year to get back to zero point. oh well...
Equation works as long as you are getting 500 views every month. Which doesn't happen often.

There's something am missing here, unless you guys are doing something mischievous, manipulative or PPC to drive traffic to your articles then you need to mame me believe that EZA really works, because the thing with this site is you can achove over 200% success promoting and backlinking if you are posting on your blog or website than just doing this with EZA who by the way are making more money than you from their own ad campaigns.

The only thing I know I benefit from EZA is what other people are writing and how to go about mine

We had approx. 8,000 click throughs from EzineArticles.com in 2009. It works.

EzineArticles.com is one of the fastest ways to get to the first page of Google. You can publish an article, link to it from a few other sites and be on page 1 within a week.

Hi I am trying to use Ezine but my writing skills are lacking but I have six articles published and some made it to Google. I have my wife who is a hr worker and manager write a few articles for a campaign of mine. Five published and three republished not a huge traffic flow but I checked the site of the articles that were republished and it is a university library so that's six edu. high quality backlinks. All for free watch that site climb now.

Wow, I don't have a 25% click thru and I'd love to hear some tips on titles, article format and resource boxes you guys use to get those sort of figures consistently

I have around 15% click through across aprox 150 articles over 2009. My tips on the following areas would be:

TITLE: Something Controversial - obsviously containing the keyword I want to be found for, but titles like "The Secret To ___" "What They Don't Want You To Know About ___" "___ Are A Con" "____ Don't Work", and of course simple titles like "3 Reasons Why" "How to ____ in 3 Easy Steps" "3 Simple / Instant Ways To ___" work well for me too.

    BODY:
Conversational style of writing, often using bullet points to break the text up. My conclusion pushes / hints more at my product as having the solution to the problem.

RESOURCE BOX: The main element which increase my click-thru was to use the following style resource box:

Exciting call to action (in bold) keyword link, sentence explaining a little more with another keyword link.

    For example:

Download 3 FREE subliminal messaging albums and rewire your mind to gain an effortless advantage towards your law of attraction efforts.

Hope this helps some of you, I'd love any similar feedback from the guys who get the 25% figures though

Im pretty fresh to the IM department i dont know, i submitted my articled on 2/10/10 i have 22 article views and click rate is 4.6% i dont know if i would call this a success. This is my first article i have ever submitted. Hopefully my stats will boost with more articles. Only 1 url click :/ but thats ok i dont expect much just starting, i guess one is better than none. Lets me know someone is interested. Im only running adsense and amazon affiliate on my site, which isnt quite complete. But yea that 1 url click lets me know that there are potentials out there.

    Hello,
Lawrence here. I tried to submit a couple of articles, but it took so long.. I had trouble with the content etc.and each time I went back I had to wait a few more days. After about 2 weeks I had to abandon the attempts as I was spending too much time trying to get them approved. May go back and try them again when I haven't anything better to do.

    Regards,
    Lawrence

      What is the exact problem?

Are you following Ezinearticles Guidelines such as unique copyscape passed, prescribed keyword density and grammar errors free articles?

        Hi,
Lawrence here again. Yes, I guess that I was infringing some of the Ezine rules. My article was based around my product, so I used some of the content, but reconfigured, but it also conflicted with several of the affiliates who picked up the product and were using the wording directly from the Sales Page. I guess my reworded version just wasn't original enough for them. So lesson learnt e.g. Write the article from scratch or it won't be approved. The reason I abandoned the effort was mainly due to the length of time it took for them to get back to be each time, albeit my fault re: the content.

I'm seeing success with EZA but I'm interested in gauging what I'm seeing/doing with everyone else.

How long are you seeing it take for an article to get approved w/o a premium/platinum acount? Does it vary by category?

Are you writing the articles to get views? to get backlinks? If both, which is primary?

    Thanks Much!!

In my opinion ezinearticles is one of the best out there but it's not my only choice. As well as article directories I also put my articles on my blogs, squidoo, hubpages, scribed, docshare, tumblr etc. I'll spin an article and sometimes I'll have the greatest success with ezine and others I won't. Goarticles, articlebase, etc, are just as good so I don't exclusively write for ezinearticles but it'll always be one of my first choices.

Ezine is great. I have a platinum account. However it's SUPER DUPER expensive. I think it's $120 every 3 months or something for a platinum account. (Sorry I don't remember my partner pays for that). But look at ArticlesBase they're FREE and function almost just as well as ezine if you know how to use it.

I have gotten tons of click throughs (20% CTR on avg) on my articles and they convert eventually, but you really gotta write LOTS of articles because there is soooo much competition on Google and on Ezine for the keywords that you want.
