Hey Warriors,

I've been online for a while and have done quite a few different things successfully and unsuccessfully. I was thinking of a way to get myself outta the picture and just make money.

The first idea that came to mind was use my active income from consulting, copywriting, and video work to invest in passive income streams. Now of course we all know there are a ton of ways to go about "passive income streams" but I wanted to do something that I thought was different. I wanted to do something I thought somebody smart would do.

So I went over to Flippa. I bought a website/business. It's a video business. Basically, people come to my site, look at whiteboard video demos and previous work, check pricing, and contact me for a quote.

The problem with that is that although the "work" is outsourced, I still have to "work" until I define a process on the front-end quote side for a VA to take over.

All this sounds good and it might end up working. But what I really want to do is simply buy a business on Flippa, run FB ads, and make money. Now of course, I don't know FB ads the way I should but I can learn that. It's easy. I've got a ton of courses I've never gone through

So here's what I wanna know... Does anybody have experience in brokering services and running FB ads to fuel it?

It might even be smart for me to get out of brokering services per se and buy a site that sells something like wordpress templates or something. That way, there's no "middleman"

Thoughts please...

Brokering what? A broker is a middleman but the products can be a lot of things.

stocks, futures, forex, commodities, tangible assets, mines, oil rights, land, commercial property, insurance...and a lot more.

This was going to be my suggestion. IMO/E, selling products is more hands off in nature than selling services (even when outsourced). This is especially true when the business is just starting up - because you'll have to check the quality, be in contact with the customer to ensure quality, receive feedback and have your VA make modifications. With ebooks, templates, physical products, etc, the customer generally knows what they're getting ahead of time as opposed to knowing what they want and you having to create/perfect it. Unless, of course, you have a VA or employee/assistant that you trust 100% to handle your business and complete the work, in which case anything is possible.

Agreed... so that's what I'm going to do. I'll buy those other businesses that are not service based. I figured I was on the right track. Just picked the wrong biz type. Now I know. Thanks for your help. Off to go find something now.

You want passive income ? Get out of those business models and run a membership site. Year round content.

Or go into POP CULTURE <--- so much money in that.
