What Are Your Tracking Tools?

Hey Guys,

Since I know tracking and conversion tools are forever
changing, I was wondering what you are using now at
the end of 2014.

Are you staying with ones that have been out there,
or are you using something new you love?

Would appreciate all answers.

    Hypertracker we have used for traffic/revenue tracking so basically conversion percentage tracking. But then made our own tool internally and using that now.

    It is very easy to build one up and you could actually do the same by hiring someone on Fiverr even for a few dollars maybe a little extra to get that done for you.

    Should just be a web app that tracks how many times a thank you page has been hit that's pretty much the simple idea.

    I love ClickMagick the best personally.



    1) They host everything. (No tech setup required at all).

    2) They offer tons of geotargeting stuff. (So you can avoid anonymous proxies, and countries you'd rather not do business with).

    3) Ability to add popups, exit pops, timers, to *ANY* third party link. (Tons of ninja potential).

    4) Tons of rotators, so you can split test basically any offer, and any link, regardless of how you're driving traffic.

    5) Awesome support, so you're never lost or confused as to how to take advantage of the traffic.

    6) Very "agile", meaning if you want to change something in the middle of a campaign, you can literally point and click and change without being a PhD in computer science.

    7) Some of the best fraud detection I've ever seen. (So you can provide evidence if you ever get ripped off by a shady solo ad vendor, or ANY traffic vendor for that matter).

    8) All sorts of sales conversion so you can see which of your pages are converting the best.

    i use the following for different things and in no particular order

    - CPV Lab
    - Quality Click Control
    - Hypertracker

    I like them all for different reasons. Probably use Hypertracker the least, but for $20 a month, it's worth holding on to.

    It depends what you want to track. For me I use Google analytics because it helps me spot my key referral traffic and sources quickly easily and most importantly for free!

    I personally use Voluum

    It's a little more of the advanced side of things than HyperTrackr (as an example), but it's extremely flexible.

    It's NOT self-hosted (some have qualms about this).

    1. Click Magick is a good one.

    2. I've also used Visual Website Optimizer too in the past.

    3. Demon Tracking is a pretty useful tool too.

    I use hypertracker. There are cheaper tools but I found you get what you pay for. Plus hypertracker is really easy to use.

      Guys how do you track where a conversion came from if using something like Clickbank and E-junkie as a payment processor and file delivery service.? What I mean is I use clicky to track links which route visitors to my landing page, but I can't actually tell which link caused the conversion. I am either looking to set something up with Clicky or another analytics provider thats easy to use, and either free or fairly cheap.

      I use Click.org

      This is an essential tool for anyone doing any type of marketing, advertising or business on the internet.

      It does everything. From the advanced tracking and targeting capabilities, redirection and URL customization to the intelligent split testing and conversion tracking

      I don't like free services, they are used frequently by spammers which means those domains get blacklisted and your emails with any of those links in them won't get delivered.

    Hi Cyndi,

    I use multiple tools to track conversions and user behavior, so let's start:

    1. MyClickBoss - main tracking tool when buying solo ads or have to use clicks rotator
    2. Pretty Links Lite - use to track clicks on links on my WP site
    3. Google Analytics - used to track overall visitors behavior, conversions, traffic sources, devices
    4. Mouse Flow - tracking of single visitor behavior through video recording of the visit. Very good tool for conversion optimization and fixing the weak spots on your pages.

    I'll keep using the same tools in 2015. too...

    I'm sad for those who are promoting google analytics. Google will decrease the value of your site because they only exist to monetize your data. You know what happens to your conversions and LTV when Google starts monetizing your data right? You guessed it, you metrics turn worse.

    It's really strange to see people taking the lazy route and using google analytics on their site. And it's sadder still to see people promoting that it's a good option. (It is not even close to being a good option if you compare it to other tools out there and consider the serious data problems). I'm a wonk for all things data and it's a little painful when people talk about things like google or statcounter as being great products. (they aren't) It makes me throw up in my mouth a little when I read those mentions.

    I use bit.ly and pretty much only bit.ly. I don't use Google Analytics or any other sort of tracking at this time. Bit.ly pretty much tells me everything that I need to know.

    With that being said, there are tons of new trackers coming online all the time. Many that have paid upgrade options that give you a lot of good extra info. That is something that might appeal to you but using free bit.ly is good enough for me.

      Won't that affect your SEO since you're not placing your own url on whatever you're tracking?

    Personally I`m using it for a while and It really helped me on tracking all my advertising campaigns effectively and without any hassle.But it`s paid option

    I know that there are so many free tracking tools but they are not providing all the data you need like Paid ones

      For me, I used to use a combination of Google analytics and CPV labs which pretty much covered all the bases until I came across a new piece of software from VitaVee called Funnel Flux.

      In my opinion, there is nothing else like it available. You can literally track everything including organic traffic. It has a lovely drag and drop interface with no need to add code or anything complicated to your pages.

      It is brand new so not many people know about it yet but I believe it wont be long before it is the "goto" tracking solution.
