1and1 Domain Charges Problem

I purchased a few domains this past week from 1and1.com because I had saw they were only charging $.99 per domain. I saw this on google, and then verified it on their website when I went there.

At the checkout it listed the price as $.99

The next step was to login to my account, which I did.

After that the only screen was the payment method and address screen, with no price listed.

I was then charged $14.99 for a domain.

Has anyone had this happen to them, is this even legal to do to customers?

Your first port of call should be to talk to their customer Service, they should help you out..maybe just a glitch in their payment system for buying domains

That's strange I bought 3 domains from them last week and paid only .99 cents each. They are selling them at that price, I would check with them.

Had the same problem. Cancelled everything and they tried to take the money anyway.

Sounds like 1&1 are still up to their scamming tricks. Just Google 1&1 scam. Not many people are happy with them.

Sounds a very typical 1and1 story, to me: there's an enormous number of these things (and much worse) online, about the company.

I wish you good luck in resolving it.
