Would you use guest posting to update your site all the time?

I have a domain which is over 2 years old, has a PR1 and domain authority of 22. It has some content and is getting some visitors but I want to update the site without paying for content or writing it my self.

If I'm honest, I don't care much for the site except for the earnings, so would you accept guest posts everyday and publish them "BUT" making sure I give away "no-follow" links only.

That way, I'm not passing link juice to bad neighborhoods and in a way, keep my site clear of any updates.

I would only accept good content only, so if you were in my situation, would you do this?

Remembering the site is over 2 years old and a nice 22 domain authority, I think it will have some ranking power behind it.

What do you think?

  • Great post Alexa!

I agree with those sentiments. If you're using guest posting primarily for link-building, you're squandering much of it's value.

I consider guest posting one of the best ways to build quality links, BUT you're risking a lot if you rely too heavily on those links.

More to the point, effective guest posting will generate quality traffic directly, rather than as a 'by product' of ranking-through-link-building.
