What would your upsells be in a health niche like ADHD?

Growing up I had a moderate case of ADHD, real difficulty paying attention in class and studying. Even today I still have it, but as with many adults, I've learned to adapt to suit my special brain chemistry. (IM yayyyy!)

I have experience with product funnels in business niches where upsells are more straightforward IMO. In a health niche like ADHD I'm having a hard time thinking of upsells, if the solution to the core problem (how to become more effective at work, home, school) is given away in a main product priced somewhere between $97 to $200.

What upsells would you use?

Thanks

My main focus is the health niche, but more from a natural remedies perspective. From what I've read, ADHD issues can be dietary and/or vitamin and mineral deficiency. I have read there many vitamin and mineral supplements out there that might be helpful and can be sold such as fish oil, omegas, and even essential oils. I have also read that constant stimulation through high flicker rate TV's and such is not helpful, so maybe an e-book of some sort. I'm not an expert on the subject so take it for what it's worth.

How about supplements that could increase energy and concentration even further?

I could think of guarana in different forms, yoga and meditation course giftcards, books that give further advice.

There are a lot of supplements available that are free to sell.

Hope this can help, I know it is only a few ideas, you might find many more.

I don't know much about ADHD. I may or may not be of any help here.

I would take a look around amazon's books, see if some of the titles will give you some ideas as to an upsell. Maybe other popular affiliate programs have things on this topic?

Creating a good newsletter to your subscribers is also a way to add in those products. You could talk about your personal experiences as well. That would help to add a personal feel.

Have you created a Facebook page? Getting people involved and having them add their helpful hints might really help too.

You could make a deal with a medicinal supplier that involves you getting a referral ( affiliate) fee each time you send one of your buyers to make " A Special Purchase." You have the supplier give you a discount code for a select group of suppliments that are believed to be beneficial to those with ADHD.
When you make a sale, you throw in an ebook with current advice that you will research for and re-spin to suit your needs. The buyer gets the free ebook with coping strategies and your exclusive discount codes with a referral link to the suppliers website. Your customers can now buy the mentioned supplements at a discount, below what the general public pays.
You supply value and save the customer money, that's good for both of you.

In addition to natural remedies and supplements already suggested, what about partnering with a proven physical fitness routine (even yoga instructor) to provide a series of videos that are available exclusively to your customers. This could be one more way for ADHD sufferers to manage their symptoms, through stress relief. And, yoga is known to improve concentration.

Depends on how you package the product, where it's going to be sold...

AND if you use 1-click upsells (which is a pretty darn big deal)

Anyhow, one of the upsells would be a different way of presenting the info...

Typically costing a little less than the original FE

    (Video, audio, slideshow presentation, etc)

    Hi Delta223,

You have a great question. But can you tell us what your initial product is and i think the community here would come up with some great solutions for you.

Hi DM, I don't have a product just yet, as I think it's a bad idea to put one together before figuring out the upsell path.

One thing you can do is look for other conditions that also present themselves along with ADHD (coexisting conditions).

I did a quick search: "The most careful studies suggest that between 10-30 percent of children with ADHD, and 47 percent of adults with ADHD, also have depression. Typically, ADHD occurs first and depression occurs later" source: ADHD and Coexisting Disorders (WWK 5)

'adhd and coexisting conditions' is the term I used to search...

Either spend time creating a depression based product yourself, or partner with someone who already has a product.

Even if your product touches on or addresses these things, a whole course on depression would be a great fit and I'm willing to bet many people will take you up on it if it's offered in the backend.

I have heard that Niacin (Vitamin B-3) is a very good product for ADHD( the treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) In the past, they used to be more focused on stimulant medications and behavioral therapy. But in recent years, parents of children with ADHD and adult sufferers are looking to more natural remedies and supplements to treat this condition. Niacin has many health benefits. Niacin is a suggested supplemental treatment, by some doctors for this condition. Have a look on youtube you will see some amazing testimonies!! and you can do a Google search for more information. Not sure what your main product is but I hope this information helps....all the best.

Hey! Since they have ADHD you just have to throw them another shiny object and it'll grab their attention! haha

No in all seriousness, I too suffer from ADHD but haven't ever purchased an online product to try and "cure" it.

But to answer your question, I would find one of those "brain supplements" and use it as an upsell to your product. Many of these merchants are starting to gain in popularity and pay CPAs upwards of $50+ for a trial.

The best part - many of these "brain supplements" work pretty good. So you can over-deliver value with your product, upsell the supplement, and profit!

    Good luck!

      LOL!

As a psychotherapist and foster/adoptive father to various sufferers I have a long time experience with this issue. As an IMer though I can tell you that you may be thinking too much like an IMer and not like your target market (which happens to be yourself too).

I would tell you to examine your own buying habits. What has made you opt for the upsell? Which methods appealed to you the most - quick video, exciting video message, text copy? What would be most sensible fit to your main product - if that is even an important factor for the ADHD sufferer? Are you marketing to the sufferer or a parent / foster - adoptive parent?

I believe these questions need to be examined first before deciding on a few test methods.

    It sounds pretty straight forward.

If product one is a natural supplement to aid with ADHD, then...

Upsell 1 is to offer automatic shipping on a monthly basis.

    Upsell 2 - A book/guide on ADHD.

Upsell 3 - Games that aid with ADHD.

Upsell 4 - A membership only support forum for parents of children with ADHD.

You're on the right track! Your products and ideas are really good - all you need is organization.

You want to have a smooth flow between your $97 product and $200, where a person isn't just learning "random" things, but instead is growing and learning building in each course on more advanced material of what was learned in previous programs.

The first thing is to know your customer's goal & always ask yourself, "what is my customer still missing?" when they're done with your product.
