Need help in monetizing my e-zine .

hello fellow Warriors,
It has been quite some time since my last post here. I hope
that all of you are doing good.

I need a little bit of help with my e-zine.

Let me explain.

I've an upcoming e-zine that I'm planning to monetize through selling ad-spot in it. It's a daily based FREE e-zine in "self improvement" niche.

I'm just wondering how much can I start charging for a 140 words monthly based ad spot in my ezine? I can do solo ads or affiliate marketing but I'm more interested to sell a fixed ad spot on monthly basis as it's less troublesome to maintain and market.

And how many subscribers do I need before I start selling my ad spot?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks

Ravi@Max

First of all, you need to show people some result.
Take action, publish it, promote it and finally when it gets traffic, then think of monetizing it..

Ultimately, your cost depends on how much clicks are generating on consistent basis. You have to keep records of your e-zine performance like reach, open rate, click rate, spam rate, bounce rate etc.... finally when you get consistency in your results then start taking offers....

Any rough idea on what could be the possible price point that I could start with?

I have no idea what's the industry standard actually.

Let's say I've 1000 members, 40% daily open rate and 20% CTR . How much can I start charging for a 140 words ad?

You might want to reach out to Kindle book authors in the self-improvement niche. Although not all have social media accounts with contact info, enough do to make this direct outreach worthwhile.
