What is the Best Way toTrack Online/Offline Marketing to a WordPress website?

A business contact wants to promote my client's products online and offline but is concerned that all her efforts won't be attributed to her. She wants to talk to offline retail businesses, set up Pinterest boards, Facebook Fan Pages, sell the products for fundraisers at schools, etc. She is great at graphics, has business contacts and knows how to drive traffic.

He could set up affiliate links or coupon codes but she is concerned that people don't always use the URLs or codes.

She thought that she would set up her own domain www.referdomain.com that only serves as a redirect to my client's site. Her plan is to use Google Analytics to track sales from her domain. That seems like a harder way to track sales than coupon codes or affiliate links.

What do you all do for tracking sales reliably? With all the devices that people have now, depending on cookies isn't a good way to go anymore.

You could use cpvlab and setup using pixels to track where sales came from.

Ultimately it comes down to the affiliate to give a good enough reason to order through their affiliate link. Offer bonuses, extra support etc. Otherwise there's always a chance the customer will go directly to the merchant and not use the affiliate link.

Thanks for the advice. Will see what bonuses and discounts he can bundle together.
