Is This a Good *Article Marketing* Plan?

Hello Everybody, I was wondering if you guys can honestly tell me what you think of this *potential* plan I have:

"1. Write *One* Article for my *own* website/blog, but "SPIN" (I'm good at doing this) it at least *3* times over for other sites. After that, submit it to the TOP article directories and create *backlinks* for EACH article (including my own personal site). Make sure that *each* directory gets a different "spun" version of the *original* article that is on my *main* site...

The reason *why* I should write an article and then "spin" it is so that I can possibly rank for *2-3* TOP positions in Google, and this method also helps to *avoid* the so-called "duplicate content" penalty. Also, the reason *why* each of these directories needs a "different" article is because I can secure more spots on the *1st Page* of Google, and this also helps me to build more *backlinks* for my *main* keyword and site."

I don't know if it's *effective* (and effecient) enough, which is why I'd like to get the *opinion* of my fellow comrades on here...

If there's *anything* I can ADD (or change) to this plan, especially if it comes down to making the process more *efficient* ("mastery"), then let me know!

Thanks!

  • Sounds good, but why would you target the same keyword? The point of this Article
Marketing is also to build links so the original page will rank higher right?

I would target slightly different keywords.

    • That would be a good start, but here is what a more complete strategy would look like.

      1. Write article and post to blog.
      2. Rewrite article and submit to directories + repeat.
      3. Ping and RSS submit feeds to blog.
      4. Submit rss feeds of articles listed in directories.
      5. Turn each article into a video and submit to video sites.
      6. Create backlinks to your blog, videos, and articles to get multiple spots in search engines.
      7. bookmark these things also.
      8. Rinse and repeat with each article, version.

    • Mr. Ildarius, the reason why I would most likely *target* the same keyword is so that I can rank *several* times on Google's *1st* page, which would most likely make it harder for competition to compete with me, especially once I implement a *solid* backlinking strategy...

Yes, doing this, in my opinion, would probably get the *original/main website* ranked higher in Google's index as well...

But if I'm *wrong*, please correct me, my Fellow Warrior...

  • I think you somewhat got a start on it but you need to do some tweaking on your plan.. One thing you should do is make sure it is posted on your site first and after it is posted then build the backlinks "before posting to other directories"...

There are several great plans here that are step by step and will help you even more... As I said though I think you do have a good grasp on the start of your plan..

    • Mr. James, I definitely plan on putting the *original* ("un-spun") article on my main website/blog FIRST, then I will post those article spins (high quality...I'm good at "spinning" articles) on the article directories. After that, I will *backlink* EVERYTHING, so that I can achieve a *page one* ranking in Google...

If I missed something, let me know James!

    • Some nice suggestions here.
  • It is weird about the duplicate content issue. I cannot work it out.

One of my articles, which has been distributed to various websites, occupies 16 of the first 20 spots on Google for its search term. ( And I also have the only google maps listing)

The search term is - Paling Fence Quote Melbourne -
Although half the results use a different section of the article in the summary.

Exact same article word for word. Weird.

  • I'm doing what Aeron Jones warrior said, but still facing some problem, may be is my method wrong or the key word I choose is too competative. Very had to stay at first page of SEO.
