Is this against the rules?

I'm PMing a certain individual on WF about his WSO and was curious to know if he had any other WSO's in which he replied "yes." I then asked him what his other WSO's were in which he replied he could not share b/c they are "against WF rules." I asked him to verify this info but he could not. All he said was that some admin told him so("cross promoting"). So just to verify I wanted to ask on here to see if this is true or not. Is it considered "cross promoting" if you are promoting your own products w/ the permission of the customer who is seeking that information?

I'm pretty sure he is incorrect. There is nothing wrong with telling someone about your other products if they ask, especially by PM. I mean that doesn't even make sense.

In fact, he could list all his WSO's in his signature and advertise them all at the bottom of every post he makes.

What he can't do is promote them publicly in posts (outside of a signature) in the forums.

I would be wary of anyone who backs up a claim by saying "someone told me". Can you trust that what he is teaching/selling in his WSOs is accurate?

I thought the same thing. It just made me really suspicious... not sure I can trust his product now.

You can just go through that persons post history (all posts started by them) and hunt down what ever other offers they have.

Very easy to look at all their past posts and get an idea of who they are.

Pretty easy to do a search.

Search for the person's user name, then all threads they've created in the WSO section.

    Repeat for Warriors for Hire.

As for the possible self-promotion flag inside PM, it could happen. The person requests info, you send it to them, and they flag you for linking to the WSO.

I've seen this happen to someone as a kind of entrapment game to temporarily shut down a competitor. The games that get played around here...

You could just ask them to email you their WSO list, because then it's outside WF.

OP, you saying you don't trust the person now because of that is kind of silly.

Why don't you just search for their WSOs.

Yes, sorry, I forgot to mention he has them listed under different usernames it seems but refuses to tell me what his other products are even outside of WF.

Did he tell you that - or are you guessing?

If you want to see all his WSO's - you can easily do that. If he is using multiple accts, not good - but maybe he partners with other members?

not sure I can trust his product now
If you are interested in that product - why ask about others? Confusing....but it's your decision.

1.) To see the general reviews for his products as a whole
        2.) To gauge his honesty/openness

I've learned over the years the the first red flag normally leads to other red flags. So when I encounter that first one, I write that vendor off 99.9% of the time.

They want us to believe that we just absolutely must have their product to succeed but it's just not true. There isn't hardly any product that doesn't have similar competition.

There is at least one red flag that has been raised. Of course you can do what you want but if it was me, I would move on.

Mark - I think more than one red flag.

The OP has posted more than once in WSOs and other ads about "contacting by PM" or about skype connection or questions not being answered.

For an average WSO, best practice is to ask questions in the thread. Not every seller is interested in PMs exchanged with every prospective buyer - and not all sellers are willing to provide a resume of all products and activities to anyone who asks. Could be the seller has seen the OP's comments in other WSO's and chooses not to 'engage'.

In this case, I'd say "don't buy" due to the trust issues of the OP. That's the choice - buy or don't buy.

I agree, but if that is the case then it's best just to say it and not give the person the run-around by telling him some admin said it was illegal.
