Yes - do decide on a specific niche for your blog. Money and health are note niches, they are areas, huge areas that cover a specific market. A niche might be how to have healthy looking skin, or investing money in mutual funds.

I am not suggesting these niches but I just wanted to point out that you want to have a specific niches that target toward a specific target audience.

Health and wealth are two of the largest markets in the world. Trying to cover them both would be a terrible idea. Trying to cover them both on the same site would be even worse.

Niche it down as far as you can and talk about one of them.

Even if you were to niche down on both of them, on two separate sites, it would still be foolish to try and cover both. These are two of the most competitive markets out there. You do not have time to build up both. Spread yourself too thin and no project of yours will have the attention it needs to grow and thrive.

As mentioned by the previous poster, MMO in health, are very big markets online.

In fact, they are so big that it's very easy for just anybody to come up with a random blog and have the blog fall between the cracks.

You see, if you want to make money online, you have to focus not just on niche but sub-niches.

You're not really looking to blog just for the sake of blogging.

That's how most bloggers fail.

You should focus on identifying a specific highly-commercial subset of needs.

Once you've identified these needs then you pay attention to how people with those needs conduct themselves on line and look for information to fill their needs.

Once you get this information, you can then reverse engineer other blogs that try to fill those needs and build on their strengths while avoiding their problems.

Do you see where I'm coming from here?

Instead of just creating a blog because you think it's going to be awesome and then failing, focus on models that work, try to improve existing blogs and take the niche to the next level.

This is how you can tell whether a blog will be successful or not.

Blogs that fail simply just want to keep up or try to do things the exact same way as the blogs that came before them.

Blogs that end up becoming category leaders, look to take the niche to the next level.

Yes, both niches are in good demand but have great competition too.

These are very competitive niches, but why not give it a try? Taking action and doing it is the only way to find out if it will work, and you will learn so much more in the process!

Choose a specific niche or specific problem to solve in your niche and base your blog around that. You can monetize by promoting related affiliate offers and/or placing ads on your site.

That's too broad which means it would be extremely competitive and would be tough for you to build on. The best thing to do is to be more specific. What in the health niche in particular and what methods of making money? The more specific you get, the more targeted your audience and the better your odds are at coming out on top. That's an awesome idea to blog, do SEO and FB PPC, but you'll need a solid foundation first which is what you'll be working on for your business. I'd recommend you do some research first and carefully consider whatever it is you'd like to take on. Remember, the more specific, the better.

Choose a specific niche either health or money and stick to it. As mentioned above the market is big with a lot of money changing hands for all parties(advertisers, businesses, consumers) but with big markets and monetary movement comes big competition which is why you want to specialize in one niche. You should also look for gaps in the market, creating a blog and filling it with content that can be found anywhere is not a good idea since you are in the market late and they will have a bigger following as well, so look at a specific niche but look into a niche within the niche that is untapped yet and you will find success.

Don't do it. Why waste all that money on a likely failed blog, when you can instead just send the cash to me?
