Amazon to fill Ebay orders? ( NOT FBA )

I often get Amazon credits and don't really shop Amazon too often as just about everything is cheaper on Ebay..

I am basically just trying to turn my credits into cash, the simplest way possible..

Anyone have any issues listing items on Ebay and have them shipped by Amazon?

Does Amazon allow this?

=

My thinking was create a few listings on EBay.

Once the item sells, go on Amazon, purchase item, and then send as "gift" to the buyer?

I have heard to put items may come your fulfillment warehouse in the listing so people don't get mad when it shows up in an Amazon box.

Thoughts?

Many people do this and you can do it but you are technically violating a few terms.

One thing is Amazon does not really like this. They get more active on shutting you down if you are using Amazon arbitrage and sending with free shipping using your Amazon Prime account. DO NOT do this or they will shut down your Amazon account. Others seem to get away with it because although Amazon does not allow it, they seem to turn a blind eye. Except for Prime members using their free shipping for 3rd parties.

The other thing is this is technically illegal in the U.S. by FTC regulations. You are not allowed to sell an item you do not possess. Arbitrage breaks this FTC law.

When you sell the item on eBay it is not an item you own. It is an item you plan to buy after you sell it. This is an FTC violation. In addition, if you sell on eBay and then try to fulfill the order on Amazon and Amazon has discontinued the item you could be kind of screwed.

Imagine the weeks running up to Christmas you had a booming business selling the hottest gadget - hoverboards - on eBay fulfilling from a cheap supplier on Amazon. But when you went to fulfill your ebay orders from Amazon you find Amazon has blocked all hoverboard sales of all brands due to safety concerns.

That being said, many people sell on eBay using Amazon as a drop shipper and do well. It depends on the details of how you run things and the products you choose to sell. It is always a good idea to keep some physical inventory in your own home (or dist centre) in case Amazon goes dry. And you should have a second source to replace Amazon in case they run out or discontinue the item.

Few people complain if the item comes in an Amazon box. This is not really a problem you need to solve unless you find you are getting returns or problem.

WalMart, Overstock and FatWallet are also good sources besides Amazon.

I am trying to look more into this but can't seem to Google the right terms or find any listings on eBay to see what wording they are using in their description to fight against negative feedback, anyone?

I also was thinking of opening a second eBay account as I don't want to jeopardize my old eBay account. Does eBay have a problem with this method?

    Any other thoughts or info?

Your customers don't care. Do not worry about this. You don't have to go out of your way to hide the source of your products is Amazon. Send from Amazon as a "gift" and the receipt will not show the price you paid at Amazon.

Again not necessary. ebay will not bother you over this.

You are worrying about things that don't matter. Stop worrying.

Make sure you do not use free amazon prime shipping. If you get caught, you get banned. If you get banned you do not get back in.
