If you use AdSense on your blog, Google wants you to
have a privacy policy and to include specific information...

To that end, here is a free plugin that is easy to use
and includes the policy information desired by Google...

    Now I have a privacy policy that states <!-- privacy-policy -->.

    Unfortunately I didn't bother to save the one I wrote a few days ago. I keep hearing how this WP is so wonderful, but I have nothing but trouble with it. Is it just me, or are there others out there that just don't seem to be able to do the most simple things on the internet?

      If you added the <!-- privacy-policy --> manually, you need to paste it into the 'html' side of the page, not the 'visual' side.

      If you go into the plugin settings page, you can simply click "create page" and it is done correctly automatically. It can't get any easier than that until the "think it and it happens" plugin is created.

    Greg you beat me to it - I was just about to reply to Tim to let him know he needs to use the HTML mode of the editor to add the tag! This is also explained more clearly in the readme.txt file included with the Plugin.

    I much prefer the automatic installation of plugins through
    the Wordpress Dashboard. You'll find this link useful:
    WordPress › Easy Privacy Policy WordPress Plugins

    Or use the search function to locate "Easy Privacy Policy"

    Well I thought I was following the instructions. As far as I could tell when I configured the plugin it stated to put that in the page, at least that is what I thought. But I will go back and do it again, the way you suggest.

    I can't wait until I can get all of this stuff figured out so I can do this stuff right. It gets so frustrating when such seemingly simple things don't go as you expect.

    It is amazing how well things work when you do it right. Thanks for putting me right.
