Starting my own Gag, Parody Youtube Video Channel

Well, my little girl kept spurring me on forever to start doing funny youtube videos. She and my other child love watching animals,shopkins, gift unwrappings, prank videos etc...

I finally relented and since I can knock one out in 30 minutes or less it doesn't involve a whole lot and won't conflict with my regular online business during the day.

I got 5 videos done already.

It's complete satire and humor. And I have an angle that no one else is doing right now.

Not much money in it unless you want to build a brand and start personally monetizing that way.

Anyway else doing videos not related to IM (or business ) and for entertainment purposes ???

    I was amazed to find out that TheOatmeal makes like six figures a month from his online shop. He's just so popular and people love the brand so yea, it makes sense.

    A lot of competition but if they start going viral you are golden. If you have a unique angle that is also a big plus.

    It's just me but... I quit watching ANY prank videos many years ago. There are so many that are cruel, embarrassing, and unkind to the victim. Even the more harmless ones I just don't see any humor in anymore.

    Anyway... I hope it works out for you especially since you are mainly doing it for your children. What a great way to connect with them.

      Yeah Janice ,I totally agree. The pranks they are doing these days are going over the line. People passing gas in other peoples' faces and people actually getting in other peoples' spaces. And it's gotten way out of hand.They are harassing other pepole and laughing about it.

      The local authorities are starting to crack down on the YT pranksters too.
      Good riddance,imo

      Mine is definitely not of the prank material.Wouldn't even touch that particular genre

    My sister is a makeup artist and one of her friends was in a band that won one of those TV singoff shows. Long story short he quit the band and started a new one and he seems to be making good money with Patreon.
